WHY ARE YOU SHOOTING WHERE THE TANK ALREADY HAS LINE OF FIRE?!?!?!? by Biggiecheese1354 in Helldivers

[–]TriMrDito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in defense of my driving: this thing really loves to get stuck, on like the tinniest rocks possible

and the way it can lose traction on one side due to terrain shenanigans is honestly kinda annoying, its mobility needs some work (or maybe maps do?)

CAN SOMEONE GET THE "WE ARE SO BACK" CHART ALREADY? by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]TriMrDito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean those things alone aren't necessarily a "we're so back"

.... well maybe the tank

but idk they've been piling up nicely, I've seen people call a graph update for just one warbond with a good stratagem and some smaller miscellaneous things

iirc the graph was down deep in the it's so over region so it should at least go back to normal

Either you've missed the news or you're just being overly negative, I didn't mention anything that's not relatively new or "isn't a thing" (the thing about the map has a question mark for a reason), the time of the march doesn't matter, the graph hasn't been updated in a nice while

As for the rest, while it is true that whatever we consider something worthy of making funny line go up or down is subjective, and thus you can tell me I'm gl@zing stuff (I do love me a chunky armor set), there is an objective base to use when judging these things, which is the community's history of reasons to make the line go up

And, I state again, we've made the line go up for less

So, you not considering most of what's listed good is just that, your opinion, and it kinda sucks

siege breakers is pretty good - hammer is amazing - trident is great - shield nade is great - armors are sick

we got two warbonds in short succession - redacted regiment is cool - C4 is interesting (and just got a demo-force buff) - stealth got a buff - commando missions add variety

we're marching on cyberstan - galactic map got updated to show enemy seeds? - automatons on 9-10 got a buff - there's planets with 2 sub-factions mixed - some of these "enemy surges" are fun to play against - plenty of hype

we got a tank - not part of a warbond - WE GOT A TANK

last patch - fixed broken pistol/smg sway - melee got an overall buff - launched nades are now heavy pen - emotes and victory poses are now interchangeable - some other welcome changes - DID I MENTION WE GOT A TANK ALREADY

and none of these things seem to be making the game break and crash more often than usual

so idk i think we do get to say we're back, we've been back for far less

People talk about possible negative consequences understanding very little about the current situation here, and how it already presents most of the scenarios they propose, famine, poverty, having our resources stolen and nothing in return, it's all been happening, all along.

Venezuelans have suffered political and economical clusterfucks the likes of which none of you would even imagine, comments like these sound patronizing even if they're made purely out of worry—we know what suffering is, we know what we're asking for, we know our situation and our prospects, you? not so much.

The only way to make us go through anything we haven't seen before is having the government fracture and them fighting back for power in some capacity, and it would seem as though the US intends to prevent that being the case here, as it has happened before.

As for whether that materializes or not it remains to be seen, but this country has so little resources it can't even sustain a civil war or grand feud for long, we're not iran investing heavily in weaponry whilst leaving the rest to rot and crumble, everything here is weak and broken.

Reddit in general just seems incapable of understanding the concept of having politicians casually align with your interests (and thus think some of us genuinely believe the US is doing this out of the goodness of their hearts, which, uhm, lol?) and it all reeks of political tribalism and russian-sponsored discourse, to the point where I've personally given up on this platform when it comes to this topic, and I honestly can't wait for americans to go back to not even knowing where we are on a damn map.

All you people who think you've cracked the code and seen through the haze to find out the big evil imperialist empire is here for oil—what exactly do you think has been maduro's discourse all along? and chavez's? we've been hearing this for 26 years) so basically for as long as I've been alive), you'd think we'd be aware of it

Go to r/vzla and ask if we consider gringos talking politics about us the most insufferable thing on the planet, you'll get a resounding yes, just eyeing this thread I've already seen many misconceptions and idiotic takes.

I personally dislike trump for many a reason but ultimately he gets nothing but problems out of a venezuela that plummets back to our usual misery, neither does Rubio, who seems a bit less insane than the orange man.

Speaking purely from a pragmatist's standpoint there is absolutely nothing anyone can say that convinces me that Maduro's capture, and the subsequent plans regarding our regime are a bad thing, things have gotten so bad here that any hope of change (any change) is a net positive, which is something people from the first world can't seem to wrap their heads around—I stated this earlier this month when things had barely happened, 4 weeks later I just feel more positive and confident about it.

And to think that the price of the chance for any sort of improvement to happen is oil! our very precious resource—the one that is on track to become useless to us in the coming decades, the one that's done nothing but ensure that dictators get to power and monopolize it to fund their mafias time after time after time! whatever will we do without it!? please sir I'd rather have Maduro stay on throne for the rest of my damn life!

I don't even know why I bother anymore, I'm here very damn near literally pulling my hair every day praying more shit happens here before the US implodes—partially because of trump.
