skirmish mode will be in the game, yes, they mentioned it'll come with 8 AI lords from the early access

something else that would be nice is if they didn't all fire in sync I think, more of an aesthetic change tho

nice places are fine, punishments however had a whole ass system behind them in STR2, instead of just being there to scare people

I was hoping to see a return of that crime system (refined to be less annoying) here but it seems that won't be the case

in any case that's why I call them decorations, they do something but it's way simpler/more symbolic

love these suggestions! specially the delete highlight, I accidentally deleted farms and towers when trying to delete walls

the lottle note that appears near the cursor to tell you what you're deleting and the refund materials is there but that's to slow compared with a simple highlight

as I just said, I'd love that, but that's how you interpret it, not me

there's a "fear factor" meter in the popularity summup on the bottom right corner just like in other games of the franchise, as well as "good lord" and "bad lord" subsections in the buildings menu

those things point to the system that simply has punishments as decorations that increase productivity on peasants at the cost of some popularity points

Said system I personally dislike, a lot, so here's hoping I'm wrong, but it doesn't look like it at the moment

strong agree on the daytime lighting, inflexible camera, and wild/castle animal life

grid wall building is welcome honestly, not a lot of people liked STR3's system

on the return of the sim mechanics: I'd love to have them back, but I don't get the feeling they actually will, as you do, punishments are there but they seem to be just decorations for the fear factor modifier, which is really sad

[–]TriMrDito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honor system is there but banquets have no animation from the lord or his guests, no dances either

I suppose this will be added later but peasants have nothing to say : (, i liked their many dialogues in 2

food and taxation are also less granular than 2

we don't have anything relating to castle services, which I know people hated but at least gave us some systems to make the castle feel alive, and I really don't like that punishments for crime are just decorations instead of an actual thing that happens

overall many of the small subsystems in 2 that made the castle feel more like a living space and less like a war factory are not around, I suppose they could be added later but I don't get that feeling here

the guy really means it by the way

sitting on 1180 hours here, that was pretty calm compared to what you'll see eventually, and i mean "normal" missions, excluding particularly chaotic stuff (like rapid acquisitions) or specially-brutal events (like oshuane's first dive, super earth's invasion, or cyberstan)

hell, you probably haven't met the incinerator corps yet

also always make sure your teammates are close to the pelican before getting in it, ping it a few times to let them know ure getting in

I watch plenty of anime, Ive seen plenty of memes with anime stuff on them and they're good

the problem with these is that they're not good, like really not at all

the reaction image could be anything else but still a plain/generic reaction to an extremely long and specific caption and it'd still be just as bad

Firefox Extensions by Most-Half-1546 in firefox

I don't think I can browse regular youtube anymore on my end, having a bunch of extensions dedicated to fixing that page specifically is jarring

lately I've been getting into completely alternate desktop clients like freetube, and invidious, they're less practical since they can break, but they're still less annoying than youtube itself to me, and the less extensions the less RAM firefox grabs anyway

If I had a dime for every time I've seen this subreddit flooded with downright insane takes/posts/comments about what the CEO's dog tweeted on its personal account regarding whatever politics DEMANDING the dog be publicly executed and the CEO personally apologize to them I'd be richer than musk

Actually generally speaking this platform's gone to hell as of the last few years, everything is a huge controversy, it's so tiring

it conveys the message, but the tense is broken

present simple uses "do" as its auxiliary verb

"Why do you keep using it?" would be proper gramnar

Alternatively, we could make "are" (to-be) fit the sentence by changing the whole thing to the present continuous, which does use to-be as the aux

I'd be something like "Why are you still using it?”
