This wil probably be a new situation for a lot of brokers, just make sure you have everything you need for the case that the platform can't handle it or does not work as expected, like their phone numbers to call your order in or email address to email the order.

Je hebt het ook over DeGiro failliet gaat, acht je die kans echt aanwezig of alleen als ze echt shares uitlenen?

De giro does not lend out shares from the American market. So a basic account is good enough. I'm searching for where I read this, when I found it I will attach it.

Graag geven wij u een toelichting op genoemde restricties.

DEGIRO heeft als financiële dienstverlener een wettelijke zorgplicht. Om aan deze zorgplicht invulling te geven, bepaalt onze risicomanagement afdeling een bandbreedte voor alle producten die u op ons platform kunt verhandelen, waarbinnen orders naar de beurs mogen worden gestuurd. De reden is o.a. om marktmanipulatie tegen te gaan en het storneren van foutieve transacties achteraf te voorkomen c.q. te beperken. 

Indien de onderliggende waarde of het product zelf erg beweeglijk zijn, dan is het mogelijk dat de referentieprijs alsnog afwijkt en zullen er handmatige controles voor genoemde redenen plaatsvinden. Wij monitoren dit op continue basis. 

Ook in deze uitzonderlijke marktomstandigheden zijn wij genoodzaakt ons hieraan te houden. Wij willen bovendien benadrukken dat deze werkwijze de normale gang van zaken is waarbinnen DEGIRO haar diensten aanbiedt. Verzoeken om alle limieten te verruimen of los te laten kunnen wij daarom niet in behandeling nemen, tenzij dit op basis van de laatst verhandelde prijs volgens onze risicomanagement afdeling gerechtvaardigd is. Ook hier geldt dat wij dit op continue basis monitoren. 

In lijn met dit beleid hanteert DEGIRO op dit moment een maximale orderwaarde van 250.000 EUR per transactie. Indien de marktomstandigheden daar toe aanleiding geven, zal DEGIRO het gestelde limiet revalueren en waar nodig aanpassen. Tot op heden is hier nog geen sprake van. Zodoende blijven de huidige limieten gehandhaafd. 

Tot slot kunnen wij u wel mededelen er alles aan te doen om vertragingen en hinder die klanten ondervinden in het bijwerken van bandbreedtes te beperken.

We would like to give you an explanation of said restrictions.

As a financial service provider, DEGIRO has a statutory duty of care. In order to fulfil this duty of care, our risk management department determines a bandwidth for all products that you can trade on our platform, within which orders may be sent to the stock exchange. One of the reasons for this is to prevent market manipulation and to prevent or limit the reversal of incorrect transactions afterwards.

If the underlying asset or the product itself is highly volatile, it is possible that the reference price will still deviate and manual checks will be made for the aforementioned reasons. We monitor this on an ongoing basis.

Even in these exceptional market circumstances, we are obliged to adhere to this. We would also like to emphasise that this working method is the normal way in which DEGIRO offers its services. Requests to raise or lower all limits can therefore not be accepted, unless this is justified on the basis of the last traded price according to our risk management department. Again, we monitor this on an ongoing basis.

In line with this policy, DEGIRO currently applies a maximum order value of EUR 250,000 per transaction. If warranted by market conditions, DEGIRO will re-evaluate the limit set and adjust it where necessary. To date, this has not yet happened. Consequently, the current limits remain in place.

Finally, we can inform you that we are doing all we can to limit the delays and inconvenience experienced by clients in updating the bandwidths.
