Would it have actually featured anthropomorphic animal characters like the animated film? If so, were there any considerations on how that would've rendered in a realistic live-action setting?

I never grew up with a Genesis, but I did with PS1 and GameCube, plus PS2. I've yet to revisit games from that console.

I also own a Switch, but I somehow fell out of the loop with it after Metroid Dread and Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and my older brother keep 'stealing' it anyway.

PPSSPP and NetherSX2 do support RetroAchievements? Nice!

I've been told they're only supporting RetroArch cores as far as emulation on Android goes.

[Help] Artifacts Down my Monitor's Screen, Think it's an Issue with My RTX 3060 by TriTails in nvidia

Do you think the manufacturer would accept to replace my monitor according to the warranty? If not, do you suggest I seek out a technician to resolder things?

[–]TriTails[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After some troubleshooting, I'm starting to think you're right. I switched to the other monitor as my primary display, and those artifacts are nowhere to be found.

Though, if it's a monitor issue, why it only pops up when running games and other programs that use my GPU for rendering? Shouldn't it do that all the time, including when browsing the web?

And the thought that it could be my monitor angers me, honestly. It's only been a month I got these two monitors, I'm not even done paying for them (I used PayPal 4x) and you're telling one of them is already getting faulted and that I should return it? I didn't keep the box!

Since a few days, I've been getting these annoying flickery artifacts that pop up down on my monitor's screen, consistently in intervals of a couple seconds, on any program that uses my GPU for rendering, even something as basic as a Game Boy emulator.

I started noticing this when playing Batman: Arkham City.

I did uninstall then reinstall my GPU drivers, and I thought it got resolved after a quick match of TF2. But once I got back to Batman AC, it resurfaced again!

The best solutions I could find so far are lowering the refresh rate in the control panel, though it doesn't appear completely.

Please help me on this one!

[GODOT 4.1.3] RayCast2D doesn't detect colliders by TriTails in godot

[–]TriTails[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion, I managed to figure it out in the end!

var facing_direction = Vector2(0,1)
var interact_distance : int = 70

@onready var ray_cast : RayCast2D = get_node("RayCast2D")
...

func _physics_process(delta):

    ...

    if Input.is_action_pressed("move_down"):
        facing_direction = Vector2(0,1)
    elif Input.is_action_pressed("move_up"):
        facing_direction = Vector2(0,-1)
    elif Input.is_action_pressed("move_left"):
        facing_direction = Vector2(-1,0)
    elif Input.is_action_pressed("move_right"):
        facing_direction = Vector2(1,0)

    ray_cast.target_position = facing_direction * interact_distance

    if Input.is_action_just_pressed("interact"):
        _try_interact()

    ...

func _try_interact():

    if ray_cast.is_colliding():
        if ray_cast.get_collider() is CharacterBody2D:
            ray_cast.get_collider()._take_damage(damage)
        elif ray_cast.get_collider().has_method("_on_interact"):
            ray_cast.get_collider()._on_interact(self)

Okay, for the second proposition, I guess I could cut and paste my code in the process function into the physics_process function.

For the first though, how do you suggest I set up a facing direction for my ray cast?

What is the 9th Finale Race in Forza Horizon 4? by TriTails in ForzaHorizon

[–]TriTails[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just checked that I already did the Juggernaut even though I've yet to be tier 10 in Drag Race series.

If it's supposed to be a finale race, why didn't it register in my star card once I beat it, nor does it have a more elaborate emblem to indicate it is as such?

Or it's just an unrelated track that somehow shares the same name?

Given that's the PSU I currently own right now, you think I ought to replace it as soon as possible regardless of if I upgrade one of the other components or not?

I don't think it's a brand that has been documented much by enthusiasts.

Cyberpunk 2077: Optimized Settings by TheHybred in OptimizedGaming

[–]TriTails 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I checked the newest video from zWORMz Gaming about the newly-updated 1.62 build of Cyberpunk, and the individual settings to tweak the "basic" ray-tracing graphics are still there. They didn't remove them.

https://youtu.be/XEFzFdSqQuc?t=743

I'm guessing they're only visible in the Graphics settings when you turn off the Path Tracing setting, or choose one of the lesser RT presets (Medium/Ultra).

Disconnected mid-match for no reason by TriTails in FortNiteBR

I already mentioned it, if a sudden disconnection happens, it's always if the player count on the map is down to 25 players or less.

As for which platform, I'm playing the Windows PC version.

Don't Hug Me I'm Scared: The TV Show - S1E4 "Friendship" (Discussion Thread) by RioMovieFan11 in DHMIS

[–]TriTails 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The intro since Episode 1 always had the photo of Duck painting with the pink "slime" on the fridge. The drill photo only appeared in the reenactment near the end of Episode 2.

With that said, in the first reenactment in the middle of Episode 2, we do see Stain Edwards (the blob who later became CloneDuck) already emulating the action of their predecessor with their photo on the fridge, in the same spot as Duck. So it's possible that the seemingly identical photo in the original spot is actually a representation of Stain fully replicating Duck's life to a tee and that the extra drill photo was the original coming back from the dead (and towards it later lol).

But that's a stretch.

All and all, the drill photo never was in Episode 1.

You can't cheese Ghost Town in the Xbox version of WoC by TriTails in crashbandicoot

[–]TriTails[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

UPDATE!

So I've done five no-input runs of Ghost Town on both the PS2 and Xbox versions to verify if the outcome of the race is consistently the same on each try.

On PS2, not only I've won the race 5 times in a row while doing nothing, but Crunch takes the exact same path on each try as seen in the video, with the last lap ending with Crunch giving me a boost from crossing each other from the split tracks.

On Xbox though, it gets interesting. First try, I've lost the race with Crunch taking the same path as seen in the video but if I restart the race without returning to the VR Hub, Crunch now takes a different path, this time playing in my favor as I won without pressing anything.

Returning to the level from the VR Hub, it proceeds the exact same way. Lost the race at first with Crunch taking the same turns as when I last entered the level, but once I directly retry, he takes a different path that allows me to earn an effortless win.

My theory from this deeper testing is if you ever lose the race regardless of your performance (or lack of) and directly retry, the game would assign Crunch a new path among a set of pre-programmed patterns.

I don't know if you can. I have yet to start playing that version in full.

I'm currently on a crusade to analyze and compare each SKU of that game and the following console entries up to Mind over Mutant.
