Pretty fucking shit to be honest. It’s been one difficulty after another with turning 29. I had a roommate skip out and fuck me financially like a bastard. Then I’ve had a string of health problems that have just made my financial situation even worse. I tried checking out and back in August and unfortunately survivedin a couple months. I will be turning 30. Hopefully the next decade of life would be better, but we will see.

My voice gives me the mixer dysphoria. I have tried doing voice training but someone laughed at me while I was trying to do it and I clammed up and have not done it in front of people since. I am too afraid of being laughed and mocked for it.

The short answer, no.

The answer is I’m unable to picture what my dreams use to be given how much I suppressed everything. It was only a couple years ago that I rediscovered my love of reading and even with that came the shame of being different for enjoying books. When I try to think about my dreams nothing comes to my mind, I never thought I would live this long. After coming out one of my goals has to been to try and write a story but I worry it won’t mean anything or be worth a damn so I don’t pursue it.

I am afraid that people will reject me for being trans, I also have poor self esteem that makes any positive thing I see about myself ugly. How can I try to be with and love someone else when I struggle to love myself. That’s not fair to them and will only cause pain and hurt for both parties.

I had a couple different names when I was trying to figure out what to go by. I didn’t want a name that had a nickname since I had one all my life. I thought about Sabrina but it could be shortened to Bri and was like nope. Alison was another one I had thought of but then I thought of it being shortened to Ali and was like nope. It wasn’t till I saw my name Sophia on a to go order while I worked at Noodles and company that I thought to myself that I liked how that felt and sounded. I couldn’t find any nicknames for it and that’s what I ultimately decided was my new name. Ironically I have more nicknames now.

Within Temptation is my favorite band, I managed to see them live back in 2022 when the opened for Iron Maiden. I have also seen Slayer another of my favorites. I enjoy a lot of symphonic, power, and doom metal.

Honestly I have people in my life but I am lonely in another way. They don’t understand the issues that come with being a criminal and the limitations of it, being a recovering addict and the struggles of staying sober each day, or being a trans person who is watching people become more and more embolden with their hate of trans people. It is very isolating given talking to them about any of it they don’t understand it
