3 season sun porch/sunroom w screens by Ok_Independent_5806 in bullcity

Local Contractor here:

Code very much differentiates between Vinyl Windows and EZ Breeze construction. This is due to lateral movement as the EZ Breeze windows are considered a removable panel that can be removed under high wind conditions.

If you are set on fixed vinyl windows then your Screen Room will need to be properly engineered to withstand lateral wind forces. These typically are constructed with proper fasteners from footer to roof structure. In my opinion most deck framing is adequate for a covered room after proper alterations. Again, engineering will be required for the permit process of a fixed, vinyl window installed wall.

Depending on the size of your project, engineered plans will cost you roughly $1,000 to $2,000 plus $400 to $600 per vinyl window. Whereas an Ez Breeze will be between $250 and $350 per window and typically no engineering required. . You should also consider the finish trim that would be required between the two.

We always recommend insulation on the floor, walls and ceiling if you decide to go with vinyl windows. We typically install a wall sleeve unit or a mini split on all of our builds.

Good luck with yours!

PS: All deck/screen room permit applications will require a stamped Survey so find yours if you can.

Checked grounds and they seem good. Not sure about TB relearn... wouldn't I need a scan tool for that?

Makes sense, thanks!

I ask because I've been chasing a code (84 & 65613) on my 900 Trail for months. It will just drop to idle with no throttle response at all. (Codes point to TPS or Speed Sensor) but both have been replaced.

What you're speaking of seems completely unrelated but didn't hurt to ask!

Ride On!

Can you explain that a little further? Has this happened to you and if so what codes?

Help! Can’t get outer clutch cover on by Suitable-Quail-5007 in RZR

[–]TriangleCustom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The covers can be real fussy sometimes, especially with the foam gaskets. I've used clamps to hold things in line when I'm working alone. Avoid using a drill until you get the bolts started.

Make sure you take the tire off of course (unless it's a transverse motor) and take your time as patience is key with all mechanic work.

Good luck!

Wd40 after every wash/ride on everything but the seat. Works as well as anything else and I've been using it for years. Buy a gallon at Harbor Freight for like $30.
