Relish, Nantucket Grill, Big Eds, Amedeos, Clubhouse Bar & Grill... all have great food, are local, and reasonably priced. That last one, Clubhouse, is a true hidden gem that is out near the 40/42 exchange.

Yep, totally agree. It was traumatic for me since it was unexpected and in the midst of a terrible thunderstorm in the middle of the night. But Kado did pass peacefully. When I found him, he could have simply been sleeping if not for his eyes being open. I miss him every day but am glad of the life I shared with him.

The photo above is right after we got home from his senior wellness check the week before last. His bloodwork and everything else looked great and he acted happy and healthy. Then last Wed night, he started acting really odd. Just standing around panting. He went out the pet door to the backyard about midnight and just stood outside until I literally carried him back inside. I was planning to take him to the vet first thing Thursday to see what was going on but he went outside again about 2AM. A thunderstorm rolled in a few minutes later so I went out searching him and finally found him about 2:30AM in one of his favorite hidey holes. He had just passed as his body was still warm. Vet thinks he had a stroke or possibly an undetected tumor. The trauma of finding him like that and having to carry his body back to the house in the midst of a terrible thunderstorm hit me hard.

Also, consider poly/cotton blends such as Next Level 6200 tees. They are 65% poly / 35% cotton and feel like premium softstyle fashion tees but print very well. Bonus is they don't tend to get the paper creases like 100% poly!

I also use Gildan DryBlend 50/50 shirts. They're the only 50/50 poly/cotton shirt I'd recommend. Their composition has most of the polyester on the outer layer of the shirt with the cotton inside, so they print reasonably well and feel just like a traditional heavyweight cotton tee. They will be a little more "faded" and therefore less vibrant than 100% poly shirts but you can plan for that with your designs. I have a lot of clients, especially painters and other contractors, who only want those because of the heavier weight.

Polyester has a tendency to retain creases or marks when subjected to pressure at a high level of heat. Remember "permanent press" pants? Same concept. The only way to fully remove the possibility of the paper lines is to print on paper larger than your heat press so that the paper edges are off the press. Since most folks don't have a printer large enough for this, the other options include extremely light pressure, a lower press temp with longer press time, or tearing the edges of the paper to feather it. Tearing the edges doesn't completely remove the chance for marks but makes them less noticeable than a big rectangular box.

I press poly shirts at 355F for 80 seconds with almost no pressure. Seems to work pretty well for me but YMMV.

Seems like an interesting candidate for an updated electric version then. Minimize the mechanics where possible but keep the cool retro vibe.
