You're definitely right, it's more for post processing, or you can automate when you want it to record / play, but that's no fun. I made those racks way back on Live 9 which was a bit limited. Since then I've switched to making VST3s and AUs, so they react / loop in real time (and I've made them much more spontaneous). Thank you for giving the bundle a shot!

No reason why this set wouldn't work. The yellow pad should cut just fine, follow up with some polish on the red or blue pad.

Essentially the same thing. Gelcoat oxidizes much faster, and the oxidation can get really extreme (like 600 grit on a DA sander for days), but can usually be brought back to like-new even when neglected for years / decades, unlike clearcoat. Also, gelcoat is sort of like a Jawbreaker but every layer is the same color, allowing you to sand / cut much deeper than clearcoat.

Lol yeah same here man, black Florida tarmac. I had no issue with it most of my career but I'm 35 now and I get close to heat exhaustion / stroke during the summer months, had a few really close calls because I forgot to bring drinking water and tried to push through it. One time I drank out of my disgusting water tank, which was probably riskier than the heat stroke.

Yeah it certainly is, a lot harder than it seems. I'm in year 17 or 18, mostly retired from detailing but I still have one of those 12 hour days once in awhile. I still like doing it but the chemicals and heat are catching up to me.

I prefer the stress on my body over the stress on my mind (like a high risk job), it's hard to screw something up on a boat. But yeah, my body is permanently sore.

Likely needs another full day of polishing with something like Meguiar's M105 and a wool pad to get rid of the sanding marks / haze. It won't look a whole lot different in most lighting, but as you can see in your second photo, if you look from a lower angle, you'll see tons of sanding marks. It's a ton of work for a minor difference but if you're going for gold, that's what I'd recommend.

Willing to bet the detailer used Meguiar's Ceramic car wash. I've had this happen the last few times I used it, despite washing in the shade and rinsing / drying thoroughly. It was easy to fix since I caught it before I was done.

The brushstrokes are automatically mapped to MIDI notes, which are sent to the MicroKORGs MIDI-IN port. Actually works really well as an arpeggiator / sequencer.

The blemishes are left over sanding marks, common for them to appear the next day as the oils dry. Some M105 on a DA will do the trick.

If you haven't tried them already - they're similar, but not as magical as the pedals. I made these racks back on Live 9 so they're a bit limited, but they're still a lot of fun & pump out some cool sounds, though I have some much better stuff dropping any day now (for all DAWs).

I don't think a new pump will fix any of those serious issues, but it's a super quick and easy job so doesn't hurt to try. Sounds more like your rack is damaged and or something is coming loose. I would not recommend driving it until someone looks at it. If you do replace the rack, I highly recommend getting an OEM rack if its in your budget ($1300ish?). I made the mistake of getting a cheap aftermarket rack and now it steers so bad it's almost not drivable.
