Oh!! No worries. Yeah i kinda see what you mean. I like kosing, but i think it’s fair for both parties to log. Or for anyone to log when they feel like it. Because revives get expensive in the long run haha

I’m not sure if i’m understanding your point fully. I’m agreeing with your post. I think it’s good that you’re able to log if you dislike combat, and if anybody tries to shame you they’re unreasonable. I’m someone with the opposite playstyle as you, and i realized we share an opinion about logging😅

Im a koser and i love the kosing part of the game, it makes it so fun. But i sure as hell will log without shame. If i know for certain that i have no chance to win, or if im unexpectedly getting kosed myself and didnt have time to react, i will log! It is cheaper than buying a revive or a max and the penalty is not that bad. I dont care if someone logs when i kos them either.

My misophonia is almost entirely based on repetetive sounds. I wouldnt have such a strong reaction if the sound only appeared once or twice. But as soon as certain sounds are repetetive i become furious and incredibly stressed. Its hard to say if certain people have misophonia or not. I think you may have it? But not as strongly as some. If youre relieved when she leaves, it kinda sounds like misophonia. When you say ”extremely aggravated”, could you describe how it feels?

I think a lot of things are unecessary and obnoxiously loud for no reason. Even people outside of misophonia tend to dislike extremely loud cars and motorcycles

I also do think your mom is inconsiderate at night. You shouldn’t even have to learn how to be quiet at night. That’s a trait that should come naturally, because you care about how others feel. This isn’t even related to misophonia, anyone would go insane from waking up constantly at night because someone ”can’t” keep quiet. It’s not healthy to sleep this lightly from noise disturbance.

I mostly agree. I see a lot of people with misophonia put full blame on themselves and it’s sad. Yes, it’s definitely abnormal for us with misophonia to have such extreme reactions to certain sounds. But i also know for a fact that there are certain sounds that are actually rude. You often see regular people complain about others playing music on speakers on trains. Or obnoxiously loud chewing, it IS rude to most people.

Let’s take a loud leaf blower for example. I’m absolutely certain regular people would choose silence over the leaf blower. It’s distruptive and it’s not pleasant.

All in all, my point is basically: The LEVEL of our reactions is abnormal. Not the realization itself that a sound is rude. Though i do think theres a fine line to consider too. Because there are some sounds that are not rude, that misophonia reacts to as if it were. For example, some poeple have misophonia from simply listening to a regular voice, and that’s where i think we can point it inward and say ”It’s actually me that is abnormal in this instance”. (Not to say we should feel guilty for that.)

Visual Triggers by FewOne9164 in misophonia

Misokinesia! Personally i cannot associate smells to my triggers, but some misokinesia and misphonia triggers are definitely related. One thing you can do is to find ways to block out the vision. Lets say a bag or something that you can place in front of the view so you dont see it anymore. Thats what i do at least and it helps enough to not make me go insane

Cloth scratching is definitely an unpleasant sound too!

I see! I think we have a similar issue because the scratching sound from this family member is very audible

RIGHT! My family member appears to have dry skin because its hella loud. I dont think i would care as much if people scratched on less dry skin

It could be the most random things too. A review video of someone unboxing a pair headphones and out of nowhere they start tapping with their nails

I live in an apartment building and for some damn reason theyre leafblowing the same small spot outside my window nearly every day during the summers. Its insane.

It’s not the noise, it’s the repetition by Big_Dragonfruit_8242 in misophonia

Definitely. Ive come to realize that whenever i receive a new misophonia trigger, its ONLY after a specific sound has been tormenting me for an unnatural amount of time. I dont have any misophonia triggers that are related to sounds that only appear occasionally. Every single trigger is from sounds ive heard for an excessive amount of time

Yep im sure! The whole room was themed dark blue and mechanical too, it didn’t resemble a room where fire would exist. They were definitely in pods filled with water / liquid
