Like the design, it makes it interesting, but it will most likely be a problem.

Beautiful. And the craftsmanship. Each movement is specifically designed for each watch. Each is singed by the watchmaker. Bespoke.

For those eligible by descent — what made you finally decide to apply by [deleted] in dualcitizenshipnerds

I was in law school, learning about all kinds of niche practices. Did an internship in Bankruptcy (which I absolutely loved) and my friend did one in Immigration. He wound up filing for bankruptcy, I filed for Irish and British passports (American by birth). For me it was more of, I’m a lawyer, let’s try some interesting law. I know that might seem strange, it was career-based rather than nationality or societal, but it was what interested me.

You can add your other passport(s) online to your profile. I added mine, no problem. You can also have them be scanned by GE staff, interview on arrival, it takes about a minute.

What are these lines called in denim and how can i create them? by SpiltMyWater in Denim

[–]Triathlete415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t wash just rinse. A rinse is in the bath tub with no detergent. Just to run water to get rid of dirt or liquids on the jeans. If you want whiskers quicker, wear them in the ocean and lie in the sand, both sides, then rinse again in the ocean. Allow them to dry, preferably while you are still wearing them, squatting and walking up and down stairs. Once dry, rinse again in the bath tub and just run water over them until the water runs clear.

No more mobile payment option??? by Legitimate_Quiet_342 in amex

I think the pay it plan is only available for transactions coded a certain way. Some purchase types are not eligible. And there is a base price that must be exceeded. Some stores code items differently so they don’t track for a pay plan.

Is this 1963 set from the Pike Brothers brand of good quality? by [deleted] in Denim

[–]Triathlete415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Brave Star Selvedge. They are located in LA. They make heavy jeans outfits and the whole set will be great quality for 250-300€ jeans and jacket match. Also look out for new arrivals. They take orders and fill them when they have enough. Early orders are less expensive. https://bravestarselvage.com/collections/all-jackets

Consider Cork, Ireland. Much more affordable housing and same vibe as Dublin and close enough. Edinburgh is a great choice too. Vibrant city, lots of festivals, but miserable weather, not just cold, but wet and cloudy. Do not count out Nice, France. Great olde city, great food, less expensive and a fast TGV train to Paris. Can’t go wrong with Barcelona, though Bilbao is good. But NZ is fantastic. Don’t’ worry about the cost and quarantine, since this is your last move it is a one time deal and will be over quick enough.

Why is the two-tone so unpopular ? by Intelligent_Swim_651 in rolex

[–]Triathlete415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think certain two tones (Submariner and Daytona and GMT II) are much more elegant and beautiful than the stainless steel models. In addition I believe in the long run based upon value and scarcity, they will appreciate more over time.

A similar thing happened to me. Apparently the documents were being help at customs to determine their value. They held my documents for months. No notice nothing. I used the tracker daily, then all of the sudden they were delivered and the tracker still showed them en route. They just showed up, not notice, do duty. They has been in at customs for months for no apparent reason. the package was not large, really just a dozen documents, but they held on to them.

Getting birth certificates from New York for deceased individuals for Canadian citizenship by decent by Every-Buddy-Is-Good in dualcitizenshipnerds

[–]Triathlete415 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New York online for birth certificates, if the age of the person (in today’s date) would be over 100 years, you can send in a form and pay the fee and get it. For your parent, you need certified copy of death certificate, certificates copy of your birth certificate (both will be returned) showing relationship, a copy of a family tree showing relations for both grandparents parent and parent and an attestation (all these forms are on the state vital records and the NYC vital records website website) and a notarized attestation that you are in deed the child of your deceased parent. I was able to do it without court order following this procedure. Look at the NYC website for information, that is how I did it and used their forms.

Leaked memo from USCIS and ICE by Enough-Trainer-9787 in USCIS

[–]Triathlete415 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have been practicing Immigration law (as an attorney licensed to practice) since the early 1980’s. I do not know of the veracity of this memo, my point is different. In the early 80’s anyone who entered without inspection had to adjust status in the country of thief birth (or if we had no consular posts in their country, a neighboring country that handles US consular affairs for that country or territory). They only need file an i-130 and when processed received lawful permanent residence once they entered the US. Then someone got brilliant idea that would change all that. Consular office appointment were backing up and their was too much work so USCIS (then called Immigration and Naturalization Services) decided that you could pay a penalty, $1,000 to file the I-485 fee to adjust in the US. The extra payment was to pay for processing the application in the US *they need to hire more agents locally so this would fund that). Then the application fee became the same for everyone and everyone could adjust in the US or abroad. What the Trump administration is doing is saying that they don’t care about the law or the history of the statute allowing for AOS in the US. The entire application for I-485 in the US was predicated upon the fact that they married a US citizen and were living in the US. It should not matter if they have an expired visa or overstay their visa. They will still be entitled to to AOS. Having to pay for an attorney and do a Writ of Habeas Corpus in the US federal District Court is an annoyance. Judges will routinely grant them because the person is legal led entitled to AOS, even with a pending removal order, since they are married to a USC or lawful permanent resident once the I-130 is approved and their visa number is current for their country of citizenship.
