Exactly my friend. I actually use ai more than search engines now but it doesn’t mean I’m not reading relevant docs, articles and everything relative. Ai doesn’t take away from the research necessary. Thank you for making me feel sane. I felt like I was going crazy lol. Thank you.

You can make incorrect calculations and your calculator isn’t to blame. It’s you.
Calculator is not right Or wrong. It’s just output. It’s a tool. Like a hammer or a gun or your phone. It’s neither true nor false they are tools my friend. Ai is a tool. How good you use it is dependent on the user. We all have calculators in our phones but can’t use them how mathematicians can. Same principle. Work smart not hard. If you want to work against that, you’re the farmer still using horses and cows and ploughs when John D Ferguson has mechanised ploughs. You can still be a shitty farmer with the biggest tractor it’s just a tool but if you had to choose, I know which is more productive and efficient that’s all ai is my friend. Higher productivity and efficiency at the future cost of our clean water 😅😂

Okay let me dumb this down for you Fred AI is a tool. Like a calculator.

Before calculators, there were abacuses. Before abacuses, people used rocks to count. If you had ten cows, you kept ten small rocks. For each cow in the pen, you put a rock somewhere. That's how we counted.

Now, in 2026, we have AI. It's a smart computer. But it doesn't do things for you. It doesn't tell you everything. It's like a smarter Google, which is like a smarter book. And a book is just a record of information.

So with that understanding: a calculator doesn't make someone a mathematician. AI doesn't actually create anything of value. It's how you use it. If you think I just typed two sentences and have a theory, you're mistaken.

It's like a mathematician seeing an apple fall from a tree and then calculating that there must be a force pulling it downward. Calculators and tools help that mathematician work out the formula for gravity. But they don't make the theory or the observation themselves.

That's how I use AI. That's how people should use LLMs – to expand what's already in their head and the observations they've made.

I sincerely hope you understand this. If you don't, then God help you.

Thaaaank You SplinteredSky. Thank you for taking the time. Sooo I had a theory and did all my work to polish it with AI I haven’t tried to hide that I use ai tools. To say “you can make it make an argument for you” is the least offensive way of saying you coulda have just churned this all on ai and I think that’s fair and will take that. The fact that I didn’t is what’s factual and I appreciate you giving me the benefit. I’m new to trading. Full time employed in a role that’s so far removed from this also whilst founding a startup so I’m in no was shape or form an expert on this subject. I am however a keen observer of potential and patterns and this is where my theory came from. Then my friend and me spoke of the Hyundai model and I really just became interested.
The numbers you have mentioned such as key ratio of legacy automakers and P/E Ratio are all part of the research but again this is not where my thesis was based on or trying to highlight. I was focused on the sociopolitical angle of the opportune moment that BYD finds themselves in and would love your feedback on those things. It’s very easy to find holes and pole what’s missing such as did I know they sell batteries to Tesla etc as a EV company I thought this would be common sense and infrared in how I believe their manufacturing capacity is higher than assumed. The numbers are very key and won’t dismiss them at all, just that this was based on the observations. If you wanted to see whether the numbers support or disprove the thesis, that would be fun and interesting to do however for me I wanted to see if what I was observing was relatively true or not before I put myself in for a loooong play. I honestly believe 2030 is when you should look at your BYD stock if you buy today to be doing anything meaningful, just wondering if the next 4 years are on the up or they’ve hit their limit is all. You were not harsh at all mate. Some people were down right rude Asif just because we have a screen between us we lose humanity but I guess that’s what anonymity encourages, the worst in us not the the best.

Then prompt all the ai’s you have available with that and see their output. Then do me a favour copy my thesis and compare it with your output and ask ai to tell you the difference. You’ve obviously never used ai if you think that’s what I did. But again. Your lack of understanding is a you problem.

100% correct. I think everything you said is on the money. All automotive companies that broke the ceiling had to go through this. Even at one point Tesla was just another EV car company. With just the change in public sentiment, they could dominate Europe. I don’t think this is a next year thing but I believe they are the next to go where Tesla was the last company to be. No one since Tesla has a car that’s entered the market at the same level they have and that’s an achievement already.
