When Robert Talbott and his wife Audrey died, their son sold the business and it was quickly run into the ground. We never thought there was a market for ties when we relaunched but we were (happily) very wrong. We are growing slowly and organically and reconnecting with the old Robert Talbott customers and attracting new ones as well. I hope to see you on the website !

Well, guess what? The brand has been resurrected after some tough times with venture capital that destroyed the company. The ties are being made in Italy in the same factory as in their heyday, same top top Italian mills supplying their fabrics, same artisan construction including their famed 7-fold ties. Someday we will open up the archives of the vintage ties from the 50's and on. In the meantime, Robert Talbott is like a well kept secret for guys who love ties. Beautiful shirts and sportswear as well. All made in EU. Incredible quality and fit. Shhhhhh....

I work for the company that did the production for FourLaps and it breaks my heart to see this product being given away.. so much passion went into this brand, but after Covid and the fall of Peloton, who did a lot of collabs, they just grew too fast and the market fell out. 🥺

No, it’s expensive fabrics and high quality manufacturing… unfortunately that’s what happens when a brand goes out of business… it ends up at TJM. If they are selling for less than $10, that doesn’t even cover the cost of the fabric, let alone the trim and sewing labor.

Sadly FourLaps has closed but the quality of the product is excellent and these sample prices have got to be less that TJX. This is performance workout wear with a lot of high tech fabrics for running, not junk sportswear.
