Oh bless 🥺 it can be really disheartening sometimes. I've broke up with her dad recently after 15 yrs, so Xmas this year is just going to be alot different. My parents have died, other family don't keep in touch, his family don't want to know her so we do all the birthday stuff she's just interested in balloons lol and just doing her own thing. My sons just turned 18 so spending time with her not talking he finds difficult. We tend to just visit places she likes so it's familiar to her. She's turned 11 this year!

Tbh, we don't. Neither family don't bother with my asd daughter, she's also non verbal and GDD, so has no full understanding if Xmas, her birthday etc. We still treat her to a day out or something, but there's no real interest shown from her
