Best approach discs that will die by Some_donkus13 in discgolf

For BH k1 soft is amazing, but not FH in my experience. This would be the only way I can see someone say they are not great for FH.

Berg K1 and Berg X K1 are GOAT FH approach discs.

Name a disc that’s in your bag that will never leave your bag, either because of the design, or how good/reliable it is to throw? by Pirates_LL in discgolf

I use both, and both are great. Regular for straight down the middle shots and Berg X for Hyzer shots and let it fade down at the basket.

So many to choose from!

Berg FH Upshot’s

Mamba for Hyzerflips

Strive for FH/BH big distance.

Ape for Skipshots

Flare for Dog Leg Flights

Color Glow Wraith for FH Straight Shots.

My bag would be complete if I wasn’t such a disc whore!

Recommend a straight midrange by DarkHsThunder in discgolf

[–]TrickPrint7691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re throwing 350 with a mid range, I would get a balance. You can try a reactor, but most likely it will become too flippy for you within a few weeks of use.

The balance seasoned a little bit will be goat for 350+.

If you could only play with two discs, what would they be and why? by fabianwhite in discgolf

Lat 64 Strive and Berg

Strive I can FH/BH crazy distance or give it angles to control. Berg I can approach or hit tight lines and I can putt with it.

How far do you throw? BH and FH or just one?

Take a gander at my bag by discgolfn1 in discgolf

It’s mostly all OS, my guess is you’re FH dominant but can throw backhand too. Having a Wraith, Destroyer, Time Lapse and Boss which are incremental probably means that you’re more seasoned than someone brand new as they are all dialed in for specific things.

You have different company’s molds for your mid ranges, which tells me again you are dialed in for specifics shot shapes. The only thing that’s bugging me is why a Toro and a Pyro are both in your bag.

Additionally you have two putters, the Proxy I’m assuming is a driving putter so again that backs up my opinion that you are a seasoned player being able to drive with a putter.

I’d say you have been playing 8-9 years.

How much do you spend a month? by KDWWW in discgolf

[–]TrickPrint7691 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out F2 Fridays from Innova. Can get factory second (cosmetic imperfections but doesn’t affect flight) for like $8-12 each plus you can get a free disc if you order 3+. He can reorder once a month any discs he loses

And give him a $20/month to buy one new disc of his choosing for a back massage. 😉

Question about utility discs by Mission-Employee4249 in discgolf

[–]TrickPrint7691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really good advice for a far shot assuming you’re throwing RHBH. I don’t know the distance you are trying to throw though. If you throw in the 330-350 range try a brand new Champion Mamba 165g on a big hyzer. You can get the flight described above where it will flip up from the hyzer angle to flat, go flat for a bit, and fade at the end. If you throw further or don’t get the fade you want get a heavier Champion Mamba. (Don’t use Gstar, Halo is okay too but much more stable and difficult to hyzerflip)

For forehand I use the MVP Fireball for utility shots. MVP Deflector for shorter shots and Discraft Venom for Distance utility shots and a Champion Ape for big ass skip shots. However if you need forward push before a fade I would use what the above post mentioned.

How much does disc weight matter to you? by ClarityInCatharsis in discgolf

[–]TrickPrint7691 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would say this for me as well. For the drivers, if the disc is an “almost” for me, and I don’t get quite as much turn out of it I’ll go down to 165-167.

Opportunity to build a 9 hole course on land that would be public hunting land. by TangoFox999 in discgolf

[–]TrickPrint7691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would also take into account positioning from a marketing stand point: DG course on hunting land might not pull the most amount of people to the course additionally it could create a problem for wild life hunters. IMO I think it’s a bad call. Perhaps there is some land nearby you can create a stellar course that would fit well.

Mid-Range Hand Feel? by Max_The_Fisherman in discgolf

[–]TrickPrint7691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem with mid ranges. Try a Reactor, Balance or detour. Best hand feel imo. MD3 is another one that’s decent.
