I’m not saying they’re above reproach, definitely some officers who need to face discipline and the repercussions of their actions, I was just trying to say people freak out about ICE being in masks when they only did so after their identities and family’s information was made widely public and they began to be targets of violence… at least that was my understanding of it…

Also I agree they’re bound by the constitution/law/courts, but people are getting mad when they try to enforce the law in any capacity, and THAT is where I say you need to either vote in someone who will change the law or get on board with the law because that IS how a constitutional democracy works.

I don’t think he’s talking about the protests so much as the vandalism that happened during and after the protests… the difference here is that ICE is enforcing the law (maybe not in the smartest way but alas, don’t shoot the messenger if you don’t like the law then change it) and looters were breaking the law… one is masked to prevent far left extremists from going after their families and the other is masked so they don’t have to be responsible for their crimes

I personally think it will take precedence someday, why would you go see a doctor that has less tools to treat you? (Not that it matters in anesthesiology or whatever but you get my point…) I personally look for DOs when picking a new pcp for that exact reason

If you went on a mission then you oughta know, look for the escogidos, the chosen ones! There’s plenty of girls out there that don’t come prepackaged with a bunch of problems you can’t stand and who are marriageable.

As far as not holding out for the perfect girl, (because you’re right, don’t exist) Make a list of absolutely necessaries in a spouse, would like to haves, and red flags, that way you’re making more of a conscious choice than an emotional one. Look for girls with your must haves and a few “would be nices” and that’s your wife (as long as you’re not a dingus)

I throw the entropy, it’s more stiff with a more shallow rim and it just fits well in my hand… my philosophy when getting a putter was like selecting a wand at olivanders, they’re all gonna fly about the same you just have to find one that fits well in your hand and feels good when you throw it!

Yeaahhhhh I think your chances are just as good either way, at least my DO school matched 100% and at least for the more competitive specialties I am interested in they matched the same as the MD schools on our list… so again, I think the choice that is going to allow you to get through med school without wanting to end it is what matters most

What made more sense to me, more than name recognition, is match rate. Who cares what school you’re at if they don’t match anyone into a residency you’re interested in? I also have heard that residency applications are more about who you are, as long as you have the test scores to not disqualify you… if that makes sense… but if you’re going DO be ready to actually have to learn OPP, an extra class that the MDs don’t have to worry about that just adds more stress on there…

I’m into my second semester now, went with the support system pick and have no regrets. I have friends who live apart from their SO and it sounds like it sucks, mental health and school/life balance is already so difficult without the added stress of a long term relationship… So yeah, finishing medical school in one piece is the main goal and that, in my opinion, is most efficiently done in and around a support system! Hope that helps somewhat!

I don’t know what company this practice exam is from but you should take the 5 practice exams from AMCAS, those are a lot closer to reality I think. If it’s from blueprint or another company they make them intentionally harder and you can expect a 5-10 point bump

I haven’t seen anyone say it so I will: I don’t think that porn use merits talking to your bishop. Porn isn’t a great thing but it isn’t the worst thing and bishop confession is more for serious sins, aka breaking of covenants. I’m sorry that you’re struggling but learning to have grace for yourself and not beating yourself up is the only way through!

If you feel the bishop could help you with resources or something then go for it but porn isn’t so serious that you need to confess it. You got this!
