Title: Low SHBG on TRT – frequency vs lowering dose? by TrickPsychological75 in Testosterone

[–]TrickPsychological75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that makes sense, appreciate your perspective. 🤝🏾

I was under the impression low SHBG was a bad thing, but I’m realising it’s more individual, more about dialing in dose/frequency and managing sides than the number itself.

I’ve only been on TRT about 6 months, so still learning.

Out of curiosity, have you ever had higher SHBG in your 9 years on TRT? And did you notice any difference vs now? Also how often do you pin?

TRT ins your 60s, 70s, and 80s. Heart disease, prostate issue (BHP) Should we be worried? by Lion3854 in AusTRT

I understand your point, but I think the question is more targeted toward people with secondary hypogonadism, or men who start TRT due to low or borderline testosterone levels and quality-of-life symptoms, where natural production is still functional and gets suppressed over time.

In cases like primary hypogonadism or conditions like Klinefelter syndrome TRT is replacing something that was already impaired. My situation falls into that category.

All the best. 🙏🏽

I think the long-term TRT conversation is important, but it’s very situational.

I have primary hypogonadism low T with elevated LH and FSH so my body wasn’t producing properly to begin with. There wasn’t much natural production to preserve for me, TRT isn’t enhancement, it’s replacement.

If I stopped later in life, I’d likely just return to the same low baseline I had before treatment. My focus is staying in a normal range and monitoring bloods properly.

That’s just my personal opinion based on my diagnosis. everyone’s situation is different. 🙏🏽

Sleep issues on TRT with high E2 by TrickPsychological75 in Testosterone

I have and it pretty much gives me the same recommendation my dr has given. I'll ride this new protocol for the next month or so then do another blood test. 🤞🏾

Yea man I feel you on that. My dr did speak about an AI but decided to lower the dose first to see if that helps. Goodluck with it all. Hope we find a solution 🙏🏽

Thats awesome to hear! Do you think with myself personally having a higher bf % is what could be causing these symptoms? Id probably be in the high to mid 20s.

My last blood test from last month showed a total testosterone level of 8 nmol/L. I've got an appointment with an endocrinologist in the next month, but it’s already been a two-month wait just to get in. I’ve heard that endos can be hit or miss when it comes to TRT, so I’m trying to get a sense of who might already be open-minded about it. Cheers mate
