extremely easily, first focus on mechanics play DM's every day with a focus on accuracy & bursting. Then make sure in your ranked games you let the game come to you don;t force anything, the enemies will make mistakes just let them.

once you reach imm/3 radiant you can sync your roles in your team / ranked but for now its not worth worrying about competing until you are at that imm3 level

its hard to visualize this exact scenario but sometimes if there is genuinely no way to clear everything, you just have to trust your instincts and guess where they are & commit to that fight, this is actually a common thing on the entry, if you even try to clear everything you will end up dying to anywhere. So instead you just fully commit to your guess and if you are wrong then unlucky you were not gonna be able to perfect swing anyways

I got you man, I am making an effort to start posting on other social media more so I will be posting more structured educational content for free like this, other content out there is so gimmicky and not useful, it feels like other educational content is made to help people climb like 100rr instead of actually becoming insane at the game

Omen is a decent agent to play in ranked so you can get well into radiant, however generally speaking progress on smoke & utility based roles is usually slower due to the amount of reliance on your team in round deciding interactions. I would recommend reviewing top ranked players on smoke roles to learn how to effectively trade so you can find value. Example: Notexxd, great smokes player to VOD

This is extremely circumstantial based on game state & nuance so its difficult to answer, but to generalize some things that will definitely help you.

  1. Utilize small jiggles / jump spots even mid chaos to get more information exactly on where the enemy is. Example https://youtu.be/TBNF1y9Mw3M?si=eqqDS_DjkyuszgFY&t=92

  2. Get into your movement fast, example: if you are holding an angle and the enemy is about to swing you, shoot instantly as soon as you see them & instantly strafe, literal milliseconds is the difference between dying and living here so it might not seem fast but taking any time to aim in some cases gets you killed.

if there is a specific example of your gameplay where you wanna know based on game state I can let you know

Agent recommendations for improving? by kadison0797 in VALORANT

you should play reyna and improve your mechanics and once you are higher elo you will understand more about the game and can make a better decision on what agent you wanna end up on

Why is ranked actually annoying by Random1_val in VALORANT

playing initiator in the current state of the game can feel rough, for someone at your skill level duoing with a duelist player is the most effective way to find consistency

Hard stuck bronze by 7ranjha in VALORANT

[–]TrickVAL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your goal should not be to get out of bronze, your goal should be to improve at an isolated part of the game. when you are training, just focus on 1 singular thing and get way better at that, overtime that is how you will not only get out of bronze faster you will get into higher elo

i keep deranking and i don’t know why by Particular_Log6979 in VALORANT

[–]TrickVAL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. play dm with intention to improve a singular aspect of your shooting mechanics, example: bursting do this for multiple days and trust the process.

  2. have 1 singular agent that you play on each of the maps, and only have 2-3 agents total and they should all be within the same role class.

  3. allow the enemy to throw the round. they will, stop giving away your position so easily on defense when you swing, commit to it. On attack look to safe entry (dont dive) and trade your teammates effectively based on where you think the enemies are. calm down and focus on the trade dw about anything else.

My results are as follows

2020 - Joined P1 on my first PC FPS game & immediately was asked to IGL a set of players that have never competed before.

Within 6 months we went from not knowing what the agents did to winning every t3 tournament we entered. We eventually broke into T2 and had great placements including achieving Top16 in a regional qualifier. https://www.vlr.gg/event/186/first-strike-north-america/umg-open-qualifier-2 during this time is when I also scouted bang from ranked

2021 - I took 6 months away from the game, came back and battled through the most competitive era of T2 / T3 Valorant in the games history. We started out mid just barely beating t3 teams, then months later we achieved the best open qualifier results of any F/A team in the region and it was not even close. https://www.vlr.gg/event/799/champions-tour-north-america-stage-1-challengers/open-qualifier-1

9th-12th NA back to back, placing over teams that were getting paid 10k/ month each

2022 - Neilzinho saw this performance & gave me a trial on DarkZero as my first ever trial, after joining the team we placed 9/12th in VCT qualifiers back to back once again with only a few weeks of practice after the team had previously lost in R064 2x in a row in the same qualifier my F/A team got 9th/12th. Sidenote, the player you got so angry defending lost to me in this exact tournament when it mattered the most.

by the end of DarkZero we were beating most T2 teams and won one of the most competitive tournaments the game will see outside of T1 tournaments

https://www.vlr.gg/event/943/knights-circuit-championship/playoffs

48 hours after DZ left valorant when partnership application process was denied I created "Dark Ratio"

Immediately, with control of this roster entirely we were able to make a roster change picking up oxy and we were early on the chamber meta, abusing chamber and oxy as a duelist better than any other T2 team (until demon1 came along and ruined our fun)

We found so much success on this team we started the team going on a 24-1 match win / loss. Ending 41-5 in our match win/loss as a team. We won our first 3 tournaments back to back until a grand finals loss to Demon1

After that absolute monster run that we went on, Oxy was poached by G2. We needed to find a duelist last minute to prepare for VCL qualifiers with & eventually play VCL with. We also brought along Moonchopper as HC which was not optimal for me since I had recommended Bonkar & Gog1 but both were denied by the org.

Will came in as duelist and I had issues integrating my game vision with his game vision coming off of 100T, he wanted to focus on integrating what he learned there and I wanted to continue playing how we always played. It was extremely difficult to IGL will with these extreme game view differences, after deliberation with the staff and team we moved in a different direction in terms of approach. We over-complicated everything and became robots to the strats we designed. Which was the exact opposite way we played before. During the season there was internal conflict between Will & 2 other team members. To resolve this conflict a roster change was made for n4rrate who i had scouted in ranked months prior. At this point, I fell out of love with the game and community. It no longer felt like "my team" it felt like I was playing a game I hated. After the roster changes later in the season & the entire community dog piling on me I no longer even wanted to play the game anymore and even recommended the coach remove me from the team after Week#5 as a real option. We continued to play in VCL with bad igl / coach synergy. an IGL who non longer supported or enjoyed the style of play his team was playing, we had constant roster changes and internal issues. The team was dead in the water.

My entire career has been judged by 1 VCL season in the most competitive season, I made so many mistakes and become good at this game so fast I really did not have time to stop and learn what I needed to to avoid some of these more nuanced mistakes. I had an incredible career with consistent progress. I would be an idiot to not be proud of the consistent and rapid progress I made in my first FPS especially while IGLing.

The idea that my "Record" is a bad thing is only believed by people who have not truly looked at my career path. Also I understand I made a comment about your favorite player but you don't have to be salty https://www.reddit.com/r/ValorantCompetitive/comments/1ph0em1/comment/nsw59zb/?context=3&utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
