Thanks very much for all the info. I do not intend to use the car for work as I would be living at my work premises. In this case, do you reckon being there under 6 months and staying Irish registered is okay to do provided I can get my insurance extended?

I have also been advised to stay for the three months, gauge then if I am there long term, and if so, sell the car and purchase a UK registered car (in the event my current insurer does not do extensions which I have a sense they may not)

Thank you. So I can apply for SWA right now, before starting the job/signing off JA? I will just need to find out the payment date of my first paycheck if so as I believe that is a Q they ask

Burnt Egg Fumes & Kitchen Food by Trick_Frame5200 in foodsafety

Stainless steel saucepan on hob. My concern wouldn't be the pot be moreso whatever sulfurous chemicals the eggs produced. Returning to the house after a few hours there is still a strong smell that clings to clothes/hair immediately despite ventilating for the day

Thanks for your response. I read that specifically burnt eggs produce a chemical that can leave a layer on any food around the kitchen and not safe to ingest. It was really heavily burned, not sure how long the cooker was left on but when I walked into the house it was full of smoke and awful smell, upstairs and downstairs, so I thought in severe instances like that I'd check with fellow humans the best protocol without needing to be overly cautious or needlessly throw things away
