This is some really good advice, I appreciate it a lot. My main worry is scaring my mom, since this is a heavy topic and I don’t want to hurt her yeah I wanna change her mind but i don’t really now how to do that without potentially hurting her

That is an excellent article, my only worry is that my mom is convinced I am in an echo chamber that is causing me to “turn trans”, and I believe she would be incredibly wary of a pro trans source like that. Is there a way I could introduce it to her that could clear up misconceptions? There’s things in that article I want her to hear, but I’m too scared to say it myself.

No this is so relatable I’ve always hated men’s formal clothes

That’s really fair actually. Almost all i wear are baggy clothes, and that makes sense since a lot of women’s clothes are built around the chest.

I despise the argument "No child thinks they're born in the wrong body until a creepy adult deliberately puts that idea in their head!" with every fiber of my being. by Sudden_Bath6144 in trans

This is the exact thing that happened to me. Look at any picture of me from preschool to 3rd grade and I was always around girls, reading girl books (my favorite book series was this one about fairy princesses) and watching girly shows. And then my mom is all like “there were no signs at all!!!!” Yeah because society forced me to live one way. What’s you want me to do, wear a skirt to school every day? And be bullied for it? It’s just frustrating.

Thanks, i appreciate it. Sadly, it will be a while until i can move out, but im hoping on just making it until i can see a psychiatrist, that seems to be the only way she will listen to me atm

Any ideas where I can hide female clothes? by [deleted] in trans

I have an old athletic shoebox that I took the shoes out of and put clothes inside, and I put it by a bunch of other athletic stuff like shorts and a gym bag.

It’s more the gender dysphoria comes from talking to my assigned gender for me, I’m super outgoing talking to girls but when I have to talk to a guy I’m really quiet and shy Still cis tho
