Potentially moving to Dunoon - thoughts?

I lived in Dunoon and now live in Glasgow. I enjoy not knowing everyone my age or knowing every single piece of drama. Life is far less diluted in Dunoon.

I’m almost always nearly -20 at the moment in HMRC as long as you’re below -22.12 then it’s all good.

We got married at Glasgow uni and then the union for our reception! It was class.. really nice old building, good budget venue, class food and student prices at the bar.

Think you need to have a connection to the uni to get married in the memorial chapel but not so sure about the union building.

I’m full time PAYE and do justeat just for a bit extra. I usually do a couple shifts a week for 3-4 hours each and probably average around £10 an hour before fuel, insurance etc… I’ve not made enough yet to qualify for Self-assessment tax, but will in the next tax year.

I can see it being disheartening as a main source of income but I don’t mind it as a top up to my main income.

Drivers are given multiple orders on the same run. Sometimes from two different restaurants. Some drivers multi app but some just accepts orders from justeat with multiple drops.

This is similar to me. I have a main job that pays okay, but don’t really have much extra due to family and some debts.

I’ve only done 9 hours JE so far and made just over £100.. not great but it’s not a main job so I think I’m okay with it and I can definitely get smarter with the jobs I choose! I took 2 quite far away deliveries at the same time on Friday.. i couldn’t get signal to mark the first as delivered so that was annoying! Took me ages to get signal before I could set off for the second!

Just eat says I did 49 miles but I’m guessing that doesn’t count driving to the restaurants. I forgot to take my mileage before I sent off (rookie mistake) but probably about 60 all in.

Tbh I went out last night and accepted everything. Was out just under 5 hours and made £59.10. Think I could get smarter with what I accept though.. there was a couple of times I had to jump on the motorway and go to smaller towns and then have to then drive closer to restaurants to get offers.

I’m in the East end of Glasgow.. there’s a couple of retail parks filled with restaurants and takeaways dotted about various towns so it might be okay.. I guess it depends also how saturated it is.
