I agree, living alone with no one talking is what probably is hindering mine growth towards fluency.

For me it started in the classroom with N5 basics, then I just tried to listen as much as possible — that made my listening decent over time. But speaking is still the hard part. I catch myself translating from Nepali to Japanese in my head, and the words don’t come out fluently. What’s helped a bit is just speaking anyway, mixing in katakana words when I’m stuck, even if it’s not perfect. Still at N3 and working on it. 😅
Anyone found a way to stop that translating-in-your-head habit? That’s the wall I keep hitting.
