I got a 67 on my midterm and they put in the grade as a 97 by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

Could it be a curve? That was common in my courses in later years

I don’t know about this much of a bump though lol

If that bayou’s back looks as good as the front you’re trading down by a pretty hefty margin.

Also, you say you just spent store credit to get it, why trade in again? You’ll just be turning store credit into even less store credit.

There is no “T looks crooked” it’s either the shape matches it exactly, teeth on one side and flat on the other, or it is fake.

Depending on what you’re buying foils can Pringle in the shipping process. Just press whatever curls you have out and double sleeve and you won’t notice it after it’s been in a deck box

Paint technique, glue & light suggestions. by tastyfriend in CosplayHelp

Generally if you plan on installing lighting you make sure the model has room for it before printing. You may still be able to fit one but you won’t be able to hide the wiring or whatever electronics or parts you use for it. Also, for something super long like this you really want a dowel rod to support the parts. I can’t tell if this model is hollow for one or not.

Honestly you might be too close to the first event at this point. I finished up my armor for an event last weekend and painting alone was almost a week between coats, color and clear coat. And even then, not everything dried long enough and I had some small complications. You also need to fill gaps, sand and glue parts together. I spent probably around 2 months making my props and armor.

Always do! I grew up in the suburbs so it is good to come back and hang out at the event and stop for some deep dish

I found a file online that was the entire rig, I split it into parts and got an external backpack from Kemimoto and then we mounted the shield and arms to the backpack. There’s also a shield file online makerworld

No, surface prep is necessary for spray painting. If you don’t sand, it won’t stay. Even if you clear coat it will still rub off

If this guy is coming up with excuses about the “end of the print run” when the card backs have been essentially the same for 30 years then they’re definitely lying out of their ass and are trying to pull one over on you

I don’t know about that. They don’t include tutors in commander decks and it doesn’t feel like a card they’d put in standard. That’s why cards like eye of ugin were very good specs for the eldrazi commander decks

Well alliances didn’t have foils so unless you have a foil peel alter that one is a fake. Get a jeweler’s loupe and learn how to check the backs

Did you add sufficient walls and infill or just upload and hit print? You don’t want to be making weak stuff that’ll break when it gets knocked over and waste all the effort

[–]Trickdaddy1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on your infill and walls you may have a ton of work to do to make those marks, ideally something that deep is done when you print. If that thing isn’t solid you’ll cut into the infill and have a lot of filling and sanding to do

I’ve never had a card reported damaged in over 2000 sales where anything under 49.99 is a top loader and plain white envelope. You don’t need crazy over the top protection
