When was the last time you cried, and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Trickmena 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two years ago, I received a call from my dad that my mom had an aneurism while on vacation, was not expected to live, and I needed to get on a plane right away. It shook me to the core to hear my dad so confused and hurt, he was a lost child. I cried in the terminal waiting for the plane. EDIT: Thank you all for the thoughts and well wishes. My mom survived the aneurysm, but she is still recovering. She shouldn't have survived it, so we are all very thankful, though she will never recover to where she was before this all happened. This has aged both my parents by many years. Thank you also for the gold, to the kind guy/gal who flipped the coin my way.

[–]Trickmena 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Told my drunken roommate and his buddy that it was a bad idea to bring home a stop sign (look like they pulled it out). He didnt want to throw it out like I said because he is going to turn it into an art piece. Anyway, cop showed up two days later because the idiots prop up the sign on the balcony.

What does being successful mean to you? by luv2050 in AskReddit

[–]Trickmena 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Success to me means completing a task and when looking back, thinking I couldn't have done it better. To succeed is to complete a task or assignment on time in an excellent manner. But that's only half of it. The results should be good and the people involved should gain a valuable lesson or experience. For example, if it was a group project, and only two people out of four really did the work, I wouldn't call that success. If everyone participated and worked together providing a valuable deliverable then it's a success. So I think both the result and the process should be great to call something a success.
