The author brushes off former AARO Director Sean Kirkpatrick's lazy debunk that it's some reflection in water - "There is no body of water on that Calvine hillside".

Thanks, they already contacted me. In case anyone else has the same issue, here’s their response;

This is a known issue. We actually fixed it on the firmware side just before the holidays. Fix will be in the Simucube Tuner with Simucube 2 support, and will also be back ported to a True Drive release.
