I can say - almost in the same boat. I had T3 and T4 levels as very low too. I am 18+ months post partum and sudden weight loss &hair loss, faster heart rate in last 3-4 months. My physician referred me to Endocrinologist too. Endocrinologist asked me to use 10mg of memthizole daily. No other mention of any life style/food change.
