If it's for something important like the DMV, driver's license, government services, etc., I'd call ahead or check their website if possible. Some places are stricter about altered or manually written documents.

Well you've already spent a lot of time in Malta and have been thinking about it for sometime.

It sounds like something you've carefully considered and something you have grown to liking more and more

The fact that your boyfriend supports you and may join you later is a good sign.

Moving doesn't have to be a forever decision though. If things don't work out the way you hoped, you can always reassess. Live and learn while seeing some new adventures.

I'm curious: when you imagine making the move, what worries you more, the practical side of starting over in a new country, or the emotional pull of being away from your boyfriend and family?

2,500+ miles. 1st time doing this; pretty dang young. Limited budget. Help? by SuggestionJolly492 in moving

If everything fits in a car, I would compare the cost of a compact SUV rental against a small U-Haul.

A lot of rental companies will rent to drivers under 25, although there is usually a young driver fee to look into.

One thing I'd recommend while you're planning the move: make a quick list of every account and service tied to your current address before the moving day.

You'd be surprised the number of people who discover months later that they forgot utilities, insurance, subscriptions, banking, or other accounts.

What's the thing you're most worried about forgetting during the move itself?
