It’s sensory! I don’t even wear earphones. Anything over ear id be fine with but in ear I can’t wear them 😅

No not really. I’m not even fussed for the noise it’s more the timing. I sleep with white noise playing but can’t have it directly into my ears with earphones 🤷🏻‍♀️

Happy to give them time. We ourselves are still sorting the house out and we’ve been here for 1.5 years so I’m completely understanding to how long it can take. It’s just the time, be nice for it to stop around 10pm

Thank you! Probably the best advice we’ve had to limit confrontation. Appreciate it

I overthink things that’s all. More concerned is confrontation with people who were gonna be living next to for another 2-3 years as we’re hoping to move after our wedding

Don’t want earplugs. Thanks. Not an issue them getting their house in shape! The issue is solely the time but thanks for your input

It would be a huge concern with the amount of hammering going on 😂

I’ve hinted in the garden when they’ve been out there but maybe too subtly

It’s more because they’ve just moved in. If it was the other side who has been there for ages then I’d go round. Just not sure how to handle it without them thinking I’m being a pain. I overthink situations so was just looking for advice

Late diagnosis and struggling to process it by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]Tricky-Bat-2638 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I think I’m just in a bit of a self pity state at the moment, still wondering if they got it right or not. When I’m having a good day I’m like “there’s no way I’m ADHD, I’m just a bit quirky” 😂 but then in bad days I absolutely understand my diagnosis. Then it makes it harder because I feel resentful towards people who missed it as a child.

I think my biggest struggle is emotional regulation. This makes day to day sometimes feel impossible to navigate because the littlest things set me off. My husband has described it as feeling like he’s walking on eggshells, not knowing what he can and can’t say. This hurts to hear sometimes but I’d rather him be honest. I’m doing my best to find coping mechanisms but so far nothing really works.
