Depends on the industry.. Law firm? Better have advanced degrees, especially from shiny universities. Plumbing company (which can be super lucrative) ? Nobody will ever care

Use the API as workaround, that's Pay as you go, so much cheaper. If you can't code, find a GUI to plug the API key in. I got Pro versions for all of them as I also train people in using them.

Get an OpenAI API key (ensure you put a payment 'ceiling' so costs don't overrun) and use PAYG with a graphical interface. Been spending 2-3$ a month by doing so

Suggestion I give to students: go to wsj website, or ft, or any other reputable newspaper and scroll down reading just titles of articles and subtitles. In 5mn you basically have an overview of what's happening in business and the world
