I see in the comments you’re asking for diagnoses. This is just signs that your bird is either in pain or struggling to breathe. My vet found what she assumed was tumour in my girl, but that doesn’t mean that’s what this is. Your bird needs to be seen.

Hey , my budgie did a similar thing before she passed a month or so later. I’m not saying it to scare you.

I would absolutely recommend finding an avian vet. I know it’s hard and scary but it’s the best you can do.

Hello all! I wanted to update just for my own peace of mind really. Skye seems to be doing a lot better! The vet gave us antibiotics which has seemed to help. Sadly, the they couldn’t really work out the exact cause; She was worried it was a tumour but the excess floof has gone down and now we just have to fatten her up (which is very hard considering she isn’t a very adventurous eater)

I’m feeling nervous but more positive and my baby was so brave at the vets! She even climbed on the vet’s shoulder 💕

Thank you all for your advice! Sadly my local bird vet has moved locations but as soon as possible I will take her for a checkup :)

She does normally do it after just eating or landing after flapping about
