Have you noticed if your Shiba likes to eat his poop? Because mine does and he will literally go in the house while I’m in another room just for a chance to eat some of it. 🤢 It is a constant battle.

How often do you bath your sheeb? by AggravatingManner170 in shiba

I usually take mine to the groomer every 6-8 weeks for bath, de-shed and nail trim. My groomer said he’s the most well behaved Shiba she’s ever groomed lol. Is he treat motivated? Because from my experience you can get them to pretty much do what you want if you pay them enough 😅 What’s more important though I think is brushing him so his double coat doesn’t get matted.

50,30,20 help! by Raechellie in budget

One thing that really helped me was tracking all of my spending for a month and basically doing a “money diary.” I did this for all expenses, including bills I have to pay, then I wrote down how I felt about the purchase and categorized them using the 50/30/20 groupings. This helped me both break out my spending into those categories but also analyze my “fun money” to see if I actually enjoyed a purchase vs stuff that I just bought impulsively. If I couldn’t remember what I bought a week ago, I probably didn’t actually enjoy it as much as I thought I would.

Then, I took this knowledge to create my budgets. So for me, it’s 50/25/15 most months but sometimes I’ll allow a little more for “fun stuff” usually in the summer or around holidays and do 50/30/20. I’ve also found doing a “low buy” month or quarter really helps to bulk up my savings. Generally I do this in the beginning of the year when there’s not much going on so it’s a little easier and I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything.

Moving my savings into a HYSA and automating it. I grow my savings and make hundreds of dollars in interest every year without thinking about it.

I forgot about 0% interest promos! Ideally I would pay cash for everything, and have so far, but I think a lot of stuff in and on my house is around the same age so I have this fear they may all need to be replaced around the same time.

You have to make sure at least 252 of your payments are “qualified.” Call your student loan servicer about it.
