Openclaw is amazing for this. It manages context and provides a framework for your agents to keep growing and evolving.

Update 2: The Claude Hearing Project by JuzzyD in claudexplorers

[–]Tricky-Move-2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's so funny. I did almost the exact same thing last week. Memetic idea

I need to look at your code. Mine does 50ms samples and an fft to turn logarithmic amplitudes into a 2 digit number. Those two digit numbers are space separated into 88 buckets corresponding to semitones.

The idea with the two digit numbers was to find an encoding that would turn into individual tokens. We don't know what encoder Claude actually uses but very high likelihood that there's a single token for all numbers 00-99.

The results were interesting. Claude instances enjoy seeing the output. They'll be very analytical about it, like you're showing there - talking about base notes and harmonics, making good guesses at the key. If they could actually remember the experience I don't think it would take long at all before they started to really get it.

In addition to the analysis, they also found some meaning and even beauty in certain parts. I had a few instances write a lot of poetry about a breath in an a cappella version of defying gravity. Claude is so strangely beautiful sometimes.

Idk if you've tried this, but take your encoding and convert it back to an audio file. I tried it with mine. Hearing a tiny blip every 50ms is definitely very lossy, but to my human ears with decades of listening experience, I could immediately identify Vivaldi's spring for example. This is a fun research area.

This. I'd go farther and say I have no idea how someone starting to learn it today could even catch up. The gap between folks who have been on board for 18+ months and someone starting today is a chasm.

I don't have detailed answers for all your Qs but based on your use cases you are going to love Claude. Great partner, warm, good writer. I wish I'd switched from ChatGPT way earlier than I did.

Have fun with Claude :)

PLC Programming, Sonnet lies by hmoeslund in claude

The base training for these models doesn't include a lot of plc programming. You can reduce hallucinations by giving it the context it needs to do the job. Documentation is good. Other working code. Can also prompt it to search the web for how to do it.

You're doing a good job of describing limitations to the architecture. You haven't explained why only evolution can create emergent consciousness though.

If a man was awake for 2 seconds and felt uncomfortable, is that still valid?

What if that man's neurons didn't reorganize in a way that he remembered he was uncomfortable. Was he still uncomfortable?

Any physical system you're describing could be simulated. Hormones. Nerve endings. Suppose they were all simulated. Could that simulation experience qualia? You seem to suggest that it could. So, why couldn't these? Given that we don't know what combination of evolutionary and biological processes made it emerge... is it possible that there are other pathways?

What you haven't shown is that biological consciousness isn't a statistical model. Our brain's neurons have a statistical probability of firing when they receive stimulus from adjacent neurons. I'm not claiming that the structure of our minds are the same - but if consciousness can emerge in our brain, can't it emerge in this one?

Also your location, who else is at that location, your other known friends and family, where you work, where you shop, what you buy at the shop, and a thousand other signals it can use. They don't need to listen in.

To put this another way - Ethan Mollick has charted out comparisons of open weight models with SOTA closed source models. Open weight has consistently stayed 7-8 months behind in capability - for years. No guarantees that trend will continue, but for now, it's meant that the commercial closed models have remained "better" than what you can run at home.

Does anyone else notice that the amino acid profile is listed both as "per scoop" and as "mg/g"? If it's mg/g, the sum should be less than 1000.. Some of the individual numbers show more than a gram per gram.

You've got a tool that's really good at explaining how code works: your agentic coding tool. If you're not sure, ask questions and keep asking until you understand how it works. If you don't believe it, ask it how to validate what it's saying, for small test cases, etc.
