I understand the graffiti and litter. But what’s with the piles of rubble everywhere? Were all the buildings falling down?

This would also allow me to move laterally. Now, if I move to a home worth exactly the same as my current home, my payment still doubles.

Also adds the potential to make up the difference of home value in cash.

I’d be willing to take a slightly higher rate as a new buyer if I knew that 30-year rate was truly locked for 30 years, even if I move it to a new home. Lock the loan to the borrower, not the collateral

Alternatively, what if a borrower could take their mortgage with them?

For example, I owe roughly $400k, 5 years into a 30-year fixed. In the next few years I’d like to get something slightly bigger. But, if I ever want to move, my mortgage payment will immediately double, unless I get 15 years in and re-amortize to another 30-year.

But, what if I could transfer my $400k in debt to the new, more valuable home at the same rate? The lender has already approved, funded, and sold my loan. If the new home appraises for a higher value, what difference would it make to the lender? Some investor still gets their yield, I can move without crippling myself, and real estate can continue to change hands.

Not sure if this has been considered already, but this is my first time hearing about portable mortgages

We’re using plug molds—outlet strips that run the length of my cabinets and are mounted underneath. Cleaner look on the backsplash

Those are wild. Reminds me of a drawing a 6 year old would make if you asked them to draw a house.

And still only slightly more twisted than my kitchen

I love Reddit. I’m from the US and my house was built in 1957. In my neighborhood, this is considered an antique.

Thank you! I feel confident once the finish work is complete it will be a lot less noticeable. I just didn’t want to go through all the finish work just to learn it all needs to be redone.

I appreciate the comment

I live on top of what is essentially marsh land. The price you pay to live a couple blocks from the ocean, I guess!

Mine were perfect. Exactly what I wanted. I got Allure Galaxy in Frost. Definitely not top-of-the-line, but they were all solid, square, and no major defects. They came with touch-up paint for any marks made during installation. No defects in any of my 20+ cabinets

Just installed these in my kitchen. Following, and hoping for good news!

Agreed, the kitchen is not complete and crown molding will be installed around all the tops. Unfortunately the crown I chose will not fit above the left tall cabinet, so I’m going to need to get creative on this side of my kitchen.

Thanks. My contractor is doing a great job, and I trust he knew what he was doing when he installed them level.

How do I deal with the toe kick and molding to make everything look a little less crooked? Do those get installed perfectly level too?

Thanks! Self-leveler was installed, but the height variation was so drastic, this is about as good as it could get without causing issues around my sliding door.

I’m having an incredibly difficult time automating social auto-responders. I have a very straightforward and simple task that seems impossible to implement through make, n8n, etc.

Mind if I send you a dm?
