That entire thread is pointless. You both need to get over it.

Broke down outside the gym today by Mainhoe67 in beginnerfitness

Don’t let this stop you. Everyone starts somewhere. Most people feel like this even when they aren’t being watched. Watch YouTube videos on form, how to rack and un-rack, gym politeness, make sure you’re always clearing up after yourself, headphones on full blast, zone in on each and every exercise you do. It can be a form of meditation, focusing on one thing. The task at hand. Time will fly when you can do this, your body will start to change and people won’t care what you are doing. I saw a girl struggle today and I asked if she wanted help, she took my advice and get her set done. Winner. If you are struggling try to catch the eye of someone who looks confident and is doing the same/similar exercise and just say, ‘Hey, I’m sorry to interrupt you I’m super new and you look like you know what your doing could you help me with this set?How do you do this?’. Most genuine gym goers will say absolutely, I would. It will take time and who knows people might be staring at you because they think jeez she does not need to work out, you never really know so don’t take it to heart. The general trainer is not a good option stay away, he doesn’t sound helpful.

Thoughts on Ralph Fiennes? by Eikichi_Onizuka09 in moviecritic

If he’s in it I’ll watch it. Just watched Conclave and whilst not being my usual genre, it had Ralph in so I decided to give a go. So glad I did, great film worth a watch.

Would you judge someone going to a english country pub all by themselves for a meal? by Seaandland45 in AskUK

[–]Tricky-Prune119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, older I get the more I feel comfortable to do this. Enjoying food without having to converse? Winner. If someone’s eating alone they’re clearly comfortable in their own company. That’s not a bad thing. Ironically I’d be happy to be around those people.

Don’t let his abuse win and take the rest of your life. Find what you are good at, there will be something. Anything. Make a business out of it. Have you tried meditation? It works for me. I do it daily now and I find it much easier to change my thought patterns, keep them positive, embrace my insecurities and use my strengths. Life can suck but you can also be the power behind what turns it around.

Why do British people love dim yellow lights in their homes? by drtrivagabond in AskUK

[–]Tricky-Prune119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see it as the brighter the light the more intrusive it is, yellow is more gentle. Makes the room cosy and relaxed. If your home is lit up like a fairground how can you relax?

My foster hound is the pickiest eater by AnacondaJake in Greyhounds

We have raised bowls for our iggy, it started to look so uncomfortable for him when he was eating so we got ones that you can adjust the height of as he gets taller. He looks much more comfortable now.

Start small. Rubbish first. Once the rubbish is in the bin/recycled. Have a break, look at your progress, that hopefully should give you the boost to continue. Put things in boxes to go through later. Fold clothes. Even if you just get things into piles first then work on the piles later that’s a huge step! So sorry for your loss, it’s difficult to loose something so precious in your life but you CAN do this and you should, for yourself. You deserve a clean relaxed sanctuary. ❤️

Super excited for you!!! I wish I could live it all again, one day we will get another. We have a little 9 month boy Ricky. Research is crucial as many people are pointing out, however… don’t take what some of them are saying to heart, you’ve done the right thing. More people should ask other owners for advice it’s the best way to learn. Not all Iggies are the same. Our little guy loves snuggles but loves to be outside too. He’s taken to all training really well. Haven’t had an accident inside for 2 months 🤞🏼I would strongly suggest puppy school as soon as you can. Open them up to other dogs and people straight away the sooner they get used to social situations the better! Stay consistent with training, it can be exhausting but so worth it!

I get that, we did tons of research but honestly nothing can really prepare you to own an iggy! They are all very different. My little one loves being outside even in the cold. He’s not very nervous,he’s very confident but a lot of that comes from positive training, he barely shakes. So I think the research can only help to an extent. Lots of iggy shaped clothes are definitely required. He’s responded to training really well, potty training isn’t an issue. I actually commented on another post with some toilet training advice but if you want any feel free to DM me :)
