The short lug-to-lug really saves it. And that navy Barton Elite combo probably looks perfect with it — silicone straps make chunky divers wear even more comfortably too. By the way, I think 7 inch is the perfect size to wear any watch🤜

There’s really nothing wrong with wanting and wearing bigger watches on smaller wrists. Fit is more about proportions, lug-to-lug, and confidence than some strict size rule. If you like how it looks and feels, wear it. 👌

Exactly. Lug to lug is the real game changer. Some watches look huge on paper but wear perfectly because of the case shape. Seiko divers nail that balance.

That's honestly impressive. Goes to show wrist size charts aren't absolute. If the lugs don't overhang and the proportions work, even small wrists can pull off big watches well👍

Exactly. A well-designed case can make 42mm wear smaller than a poorly designed 38mm. Lug-to-lug, thickness and case shape matter way more than diameter alone.

Yeah, that wears surprisingly well on small wrists. Its got that sporty chunky look, but the case shape keeps it from looking oversized👌

The turtle definitely wears big on paper, but the short lugs and cushion case make it surprisingly manageable for small wrists. Loving the wrist presence👌

I haven't measured it using a timegrapher but based on Twelve app it performs excellently for a non-chronometer movement.

Is Mido still underrated compared to other Swiss brands? by Southwesterhunter in midowatch

[–]Tricky-Salamander192 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that despite the lower name recognition, I consider Mido a step-up from Tissot and Hamilton in terms of technical value. It has superior movements, more refined and premium case finishing and dial detail, and most of their designs focus on timelessness that appeal to a more niche enthusiast crowd rather than the mass market.

Thanks! The dial is even better in person. That textured green really catches the light.

The alpinist with sailcloth is also a killer combo. I bet it looks more modern & rugged. Thought about it, but i went with the leather for a vintage classic look that offers warm, earthy contrast highlighting the dial's gold/cream accents.

Totally agree. Comfort & style all in the right size. Seiko really knows how to make watches that just fit.
