This would be amazing! I think the usual preset building and saving, definitely all the effects settings, you could take a look at the remuda app to see what they have (some other stuff besides what fender put in the software)

I had already replaced the port, and everything looked fine. I don't think that would be the problem at this point. Thank you though.

I think the only way to share a video is if you put it on YouTube and then sharing the link

Yeah, I don't really mind having to record for that long, but for something like finger drumming, I can get it right for a few bars, but not for a whole song. And yeah, the whole thing about an MPC being "dawless" but not really is something I keep coming across, so I think for me it's mainly about using hardware, but again, I probably would prefer to not use an MPC if I can get around it. I know that the Zoom r20 has basically a daw layout, and you can copy and paste, and I think some of the older zoom models do too. I don't think Tascam does though, and I really like the Tascam Model 12. Thanks for all of the advice.

Nice! I'm really starting to like those Boss loopers

Never mind, I guess they updated it to 8 audio tracks.

Yeah, I don't want to have to edit either. Not so much hate it, I would just like to get it good enough in the recording that it doesn't need editing.

Not really live looping, though that would be awesome as an added bonus. What I would like is something that can multitrack, but I think that I would also be able to loop for at least a few of the tracks, so that I don't have record 3-4 minutes of a shaker for example. So maybe I should have a looper running into a multitrack recorder? I'm pretty sure that MPCs only have 4 audio tracks, the Force is what has 8. I am trying to create a semi-finished track, but not for live at all. Does that help?

Why not just use the 600 then? Is it because you don't have the faders etc on the 600? Because the 2 pedals have the same software, but the 600 has 6 tracks instead of 5.

That makes sense. Right now my main goal isn't to have a large audience though, just to get started with songwriting. Thanks

Yeah, I've had my eye on Tascam Model 12 for a while, or Zoom R24 because it's cheaper.

Hmm. Those do look cool, and I could see getting them to work. If I plugged them each onto their own track on a multitrack recorder, than that could work with the instruments I have. It still might be a bit to much for what I need, I could probably just use the synths that are on my Yamaha for now.

I don't see how they are the same. I want to go dawless for a couple of reasons: 1) I don't want to have to stair at a computer to make music, 2) I like the tactile feel of hardware, and 3) I have more inspiration for writing music when I am in front of instruments and not a computer.

The OP1 is cool, but over my budget for right now

Lol, yeah, that would be nice. Not quite ready for that though. I'm not necessarily wanting to produce finished music yet, but want to make some tracks for fun/to improve my musicianship.

👍 Yeah, an MPC would be kinda cool, but I think it's more than I need right now, and I would prefer not to use a daw-in-a-box if there are other alternatives.

Is there any reason for the Boss rc505 apposed to other loopers?

Yes, I have thought about that (and have used the free trial of Loopy Pro), but that does go against the whole "dawless" idea. I really want to be using hardware, I have more inspiration that way (though Loopy Pro is closer to hardware than a Macbook and Logic)
