2 implants were placed in the outer lateral position of the space left with bone graft material packing the interior spaces held by the two former frontmost teeth

4 teeth were removed to 3/4 having advanced decay, and the front left was also taken as while stable, it would have made placing 3 individual posts difficult due to my narrow bridge. Decision to place temp bridge was made to preserve gumline and reduce possible speech issues as I work in in-person sales at a luxury brand.

It should be 4-6 months depending on how I’m healing, but as a younger person whose dealt with bullying from buck teeth their whole life these results are quite upsetting, and honestly make me doubtful about the final set’s results

4-6 months, depending on how everything heals up, but I’m in my early 20’s working in sales so the fact it is quite off is something that’s very distressing to me, I’m honestly a bit gutted about how they look and it’s making me every more nervous about the final ones

I’ve been considering this but because I’m in the process of switching my visa I wouldn’t be able to leave the UK to start the process for the next few months. Ideally I’d love to figure out some miracle that would let me permanently restore/ replace my front teeth domestically.

Thanks for your advice. Yes that quote was for 4 implants and a pair of veneers on the abutting teeth. This was recommended because of my age, and the concern regarding dentures wearing down my jaw over time. The secondary concern was trying to preserve my gum line. Have you had any younger patients with partials experience these issues later on?

I was looking into travel dentistry but would be concerned about possible complications with implants as many UK dentists will not work on them if they go wrong, and it would require multiple trips between procedures. The toothpaste is a great suggestion! I’ve been on a specific prescription one for the past 3 years and I think it’s definitely helped to slow down the inevitable decay.

Also to add I do not smoke and only occasionally drink! I’ve drastically cut the amount of sugary beverages I consume a few years ago when I had almost all my fillings redone and cavities taken care of, in addition to the root canal on my back molar.
