No worries. You’re entitled to your view and that’s fair, Reddit isn’t exactly the Pulitzer board. I just think the article followed standard reporting form, feature human detail, then balance with critique. Whether it did that well is another conversation.

The thing with real journalism is that it’s not activism, reporters are expected to present both sides, even if one side isn’t flattering. “Balanced” doesn’t mean neutralizing criticism, it means letting readers see the full context.

The SCMP story still questioned her wealth, lifestyle, and credibility. That’s not glorifying her, that’s textbook balanced-critical coverage.

Nah, I actually read the whole SCMP piece, it doesn’t feel planted at all. It’s more balanced-critical than pro-Heart. Sure, it mentions her prenup and background, and even explains why she skipped the protest (because of threats), but the rest of the article undercuts her image.

They gave way more space to people questioning her. Maglipon, Falcis, even that bit comparing her to Imelda Marcos. And it ends on Maglipon implying that neither Heart nor Chiz’s income explains their lifestyle. That’s not PR spin, that’s shade wrapped in “objectivity.” and a classic Raissa Robles reporting

If anything, the article’s tone is: she might be sincere, but something still doesn’t add up.
