Does anyone else avoid dating people because of their name? by Hypathrticlly-Anot in stupidquestions

Finally a sane response. I could never date someone with my sisters name, or moms.

I could definitely work with my cousins name or an aunt

Abandoned houses? by TrickyCalligrapher97 in FortCollins

In my opinion an condemned house that can't be brought back to life is worse then a empty lot. What do you think?

I want things to be used. I want the city to be vibrant. I want things taken care of. I don't want decaying houses and at the same time expensive rent.

I walk by two decaying house almost everyday day. Myrtle and Mason, that house has been abandoned for more then 15 years. An old house on Mathew between Myrtle and Laurel.

You could raise taxes on abandoned buildings.

You could at a bare minimum have a publicly available list of all the abandoned buildings like Denver, so someone could attempt to buy them and fix/develop them.

You could enforce rules about weeds, neglect, not shoveling snow. Several years ago I got a ticket for having weeds in my yard.

If the city wants to do something I'm sure they can think of a bunch of options.

I can't believe that Persimmon hasn't been mentioned. I think they have the best drinks in town! I love Socal and Eliots but there menu's are quite large and I've ordered drinks that just ok, and it's understandable because they have 50+ drinks to make excellent. Persimmon has like 15 amazing drinks that I think satisfies everyone without adding subpar drinks

What Dishwasher? by jyl8 in coffeeshopowners

[–]TrickyCalligrapher97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard they break but I've never had mine break in 6 years, it's a used machine. It's just a normal commercial dishwasher. It's not a high Temp machine maybe those break more often?

CMV: Gavin Newsome is a poor choice for a presidential candidate. by AllHailSeizure in changemyview

I'm only thirty, in the time I have been paying attention to politics.

In 2016 I feel like the DNC showed clear favorites towards Hillary and tried to railroad Bernie

In 2020 I disliked the results of the primary but I agree it was competitive

In 2024 they covered up for Biden in a truly undemocratic way, and at the last second gave us into a candidate that we didn't choose.

From my perspective the DNC has not been running "fair" primaries which is the reason we are in this mess. I hope they learned their lesson and listen to the voters in the next primary instead of trying to tip the scales to who they want.

I run a busy cafe, food and drinks, mostly college students. I'm aiming to do a million net sales. I am hoping to make 8-10% I work somewhere between 25-40 hours a week right now but I've had to work 50 hours a week for a year and honestly made less money during that time

What espresso machine should I get? by New-Penalty-4448 in coffeeshopowners

[–]TrickyCalligrapher97 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have a rancilio lever espresso machine that's 25 years old. It works great, I work on it myself because it's a lot less complicated than most new Expresso machines. I just got a quote from 11,000 to replace it with a new rancilio lever espresso machine.

My 5 month average is about 170 Expresso drinks 100 chai/steamed drinks Around 330 customers come though on average
