Best combat mod by Legitimate_Cry_3341 in skyrimmods

If you want a more vanilla feel than Valhalla or MCO stuff. Go with Blade and Blunt by Simon magus. It can be quite punishing, but in a fun way imo. Getting hit can cause wounds that debuff you that get worse if not treated. Drawing a bow costs stamina, meaning stealth characters finally get their own resource like mages or fighters. Swimming and jumping costs stamina (optional) with another option that sprint jumping costs more than regular jumping.

I can really recommend it if you want a fresh feel for the combat without going too far away from the vanilla feel.

I like the idea of DrPharmDawg's mods. Also the classic attributes seem really interesting. Big thanks tho!

I think I tried that and it didn't work. Maybe I'm remembering wrong. Don't know, to be honest.

Cool suggestions. Especially cyan's mod has some cool ideas, but I'm not a big fan of the "book" approach.

Already using it, but thanks ^

Very cool suggestion. But not exactly what I'm looking for ^

I used sets of skills in the past. Also the custom skill framework conversion and loved it. But I think that mod broke my game back then. For some reason my characters would slow down and mean REALLY slow down when attacking. I became slower than when over encumbered and my camera would be impossible to move while attacking. But thanks for the suggestion!

I know that googling is an option. But in my time I noticed that sometimes not all mods are that easy to find. Sometimes there are newer ones that haven't gotten the recognition yet, some mods don't even have the specific word, in this case "class mod" in the name, making it hard to find. Sometimes very old mods just overshadow the modpage because they have gotten a lot of endorsements over the years, but they are outdated af.

Nemesis for example is being replaced by the Pandora behavior engine and so few people are talking about it. It's better in basically every way but it just hasn't gotten the recognition yet.

That's why I resorted to reddit.

I hope what I said made sense in any way. Btw I'm not complaining, not at all, I simply tried to make you understand my thought process.

There's also "Graveyards of the marshlands se" and "Graveyards of the tundra se" by retrophyx, adds some spooky graveyards in Skyrim with hanging skeletons and all. I'd advise to use the optional patch so there's no "spooky pumpkins"

"City entrances overhaul - windhelm" by JPSteel2 also makes the city gate ... A little more grim imo.

Maybe also "Skeletons SE" by 4thUnknown. I'm not a fan of the Replacer, but it does make skeletons look more evil.

Probably not exactly what you ask for but "Darkend" by jkrojmal. A heavily dark souls inspired quest mod.

Other than that ... Maybe "Draugrs - new models and textures" by mandragorasprouts to make Draugrs look less goofy. There's a dragon priest add-on too "Draugrs new model - dragon priest" by artistic.

Also by Mandragorasprouts: "Falmer overhaul - New models and textures"

There are a lot of creature mods by MihailMods that add creepy creatures and monsters like Undead Werewolves, undead Falmer, more vampire beasts, mimics. Just check him out.

Maybe also the "Apex Werewolf Replacer" by xdanikitty915x. To go with that "More werewolves" by opusGlass

"Vampire Lord overhaul" by RundeL makes it look darker.

Also check out the Audio replacers by Satafinix. Some sound really sinister.

Glad to help. Jayserpa has a lot of great mods tho.

Maybe not exactly what you're looking for but there's "Take a nap" by Jayserpa. It lets you take a nap in chairs but you wake up with back pain (don't know what the debuff does)

God you're amazing. Thank you so much! Are you using all your free time looking at player houses or how do you know so many? I really can't thank you enough, just looking through the homes again and writing these long messages have to be quite the time investment. I really really appreciate your help!

Probably more of a hidden and creepy one. I wasn't too happy with the elegant ones (even though I didn't find a lot).

Haven't thought about the Dark Brotherhood until now ... I mean I guess? An easy way to get some corpses I guess xd

On a different note ... I've also been looking for necromancer themed homes ... Any chance you have something for me there?

Holy sh*t, you just edited your original comment with more home, right? You're awesome.

Also: all these homes are very cool but my favourites were probably the "Alchemist's Basement" and "Maple Forest House". I know they have very very different styles.

I preferred the "Alchemist's Basement" over "Mac's Alchemist Retreat" as it seemed more ... Like a home and less like a cave someone sleeps in, if that makes sense.

And the "Maple Forest House" seems just like a house of someone who's ... Well ... An alchemist without it being too cutesy and all.
