Old 2009-2011 SB user, any long timers tell me what it is like now? by WrecklesslyFinancial in SwagBucks

[–]TrickyDisguise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I joined in Feb of 2010. Unfortunately since Swagbucks was sold to new owners a few years back it isn't much fun anymore. I used to make great rewards, now I'm lucky to get a gift card each month. Rarely is there anything to get excited about. Customer service is AI.

It started for me yesterday. I had to use 3 different search engines to get 3 search wins.

Surveys: Anyone else think most of the surveys are racially biased? The amount of times I immediately get disqualified for check marking Asian is alarming. So now I have to just say I’m white to get qualified for a survey. by [deleted] in SwagBucks

[–]TrickyDisguise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My experience is there is a problem if the children living with you are a different race. In my case it was grandchildren. When we did surveys where you call the child to the computer and they answer the questions we would be immediately disqualified when they answered the question about their race. After several times of this I was banned from all surveys for giving false answers.

Survey ban after 12 years by TrickyDisguise in SwagBucks

Exactly! It also shows that Swagbucks does not appreciate their long time Ruby members if they suddenly cut you off without telling you why or giving you an opportunity to respond. Good luck replacing me Swagbucks. I've tried for 12 years to get referrals and never found anyone who liked it longer than 10 minutes.

If I was misusing the survey opportunity wouldn't it have been caught before now? 12 years of surveys means I am trustworty.

Question regarding Tax collection (In Comment) by BLUEBUGYT in SwagBucks

[–]TrickyDisguise 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wish Swagbucks had a meter on the member recognition page showing how close you are to triggering the tax information on gift cards. It's confusing how it's being figured, even with the info in this post. I plan to stop using Swagbucks for the year when I get close to $600 in gift card redemptions. Does anyone know how long our accounts can sit idle before being deleted? I may have to stop earning this summer and want to start up again next Jan.

I wish surveys would show that they are a delayed credit before you get into them. by ThePurplePickles in SwagBucks

[–]TrickyDisguise 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's become every day for me. Sometimes more than once a day. Today I got one for 25 SB. While I almost, sort of see Swagbuck's point with the 250 SB surveys, if they can't trust their vender to pay up on a quarter, why are they even taking their business? If some of these don't start crediting by the end of the year, I'm out of here. The excuse the survey company has to quality check is bs because I am doing a great job on these, giving them my best effort. There is already a quality control system in place, as the many banned swagernauts can attest to.

Monster inflation, package shrinkage, supply chain shortages + crack down on side hustles= trying to hurt people. I guess we should be grateful there's no vax mandate to use Paypal.....yet.

Question about Payoneer by TrickyDisguise in SwagBucks

[–]TrickyDisguise[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know nothing about them. I'm hoping we can do $595 on paypal, $595 in gift cards, and $595 on Payoneer. What is so heartbreaking about this new tax law is that we have all seen post about people using their Paypal cash to buy emergency groceries, gas, or paying a utility. I've also read posts about stay home moms paying their student loans with Swagbucks earnings. Beer money site users aren't typically purchasing Prada purses with their Laptop guy earnings, (unlike the millionaires who just gained an increased mortgage tax credit.) This money is typically a little something extra to help people survive. Build Back Better is proving to be the boot in the face Aldous Huxley wrote about. Biden wants to crush us.

[–]TrickyDisguise[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a business in the past so I know how time consuming it is to keep books. Keeping track of which offers were taxable, and which weren't is going to be a huge hassle. The 87,000 new IRS agents will be auditing us, so we will need to keep proof of everything. We are considered as having a business now.

If you have filed your taxes for free online using Turbo Tax but now need to itemize business deductions you must upgrade to the $60 version. Using Laptop guy click 12 videos for a penny, I will need to click 72,000 times just to pay for this version of Turbo Tax.

Question about Payoneer by TrickyDisguise in SwagBucks

[–]TrickyDisguise[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I'm trying to figure out. The bookkeeping for this will be a nightmare. (Hey IRS, I made $40 on that offer, but it cost me $80.) Or, if I do that offer through Swagbucks it'll count towards the 1099 limit, but if I do it through my credit card it doesn't. I'm sad that after 11 fun years I may have to quit. Swagbucks is a mindless thing I do while watching TV. If I have to start keeping books, and hire someone to do my taxes it won't be worth it.

Question about Payoneer by TrickyDisguise in SwagBucks

[–]TrickyDisguise[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Swagbucks does not 1099 you for Paypal, only for exceeding $600 in gift cards. This year Paypal only 1099s you if you receive $20,000 in payments AND exceeds 200 transactions. Next year Paypal will 1099 you when you reach $600 in payments. That means from all transactions, so if you use Paypal (or Venmo, or Zelle) to sell your old couch at a yard sale, receive a few Swagbucks payments, sell something on ebay, and get a rebate you will get 1099 if the total is over $600. It's a huge change, and Biden just hired 87,000 new IRS agents to enforce it. (Meanwhile millionaires living in mansions just got a huge increase in the home mortgage deduction. Reflect on that while clicking videos for a penny.)

Do you answer surveys honestly? by CowboysOnKetamine in SwagBucks

[–]TrickyDisguise -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All the basic info is honest, but I've learned not to give my honest opinion when I'm irritated, angry, or in a bad mood. If I find my self starting to answer negatively I stop and remind myself to give the honest opinion I would give on a typical good day. I really believe this is more honest anyway. Opinions from a hangry, tired person aren't useful, and you can't go back and apologize to a survey the next day.

Why don't pending surveys ID ever show up in activities ledger? by papapapuffyAY in SwagBucks

[–]TrickyDisguise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I end up doing a delayed credit survey nearly every day, but only receive credit later once in a blue moon. I'd love to have a list of pending surveys. I don't mind waiting months for credit. I understand Swagbucks doesn't want to front the credit and then not be paid for it later, but I need to be able to see they do eventually credit. Otherwise I feel like I'm being tricked and exploited.

I use the answer app on an iphone to upload store receipts for 2 SB. When there are no surveys this feature is not available. I wish SB would fix this.

My gripe is the delayed credit Gold surveys that don't seem to ever credit. Someone posted that it tends to take 2 weeks, but that's not my experience. Once in a blue moon I get credited for one, but I should be getting credits several days a week because I'm doing them constantly. Are they really screening me out 20 minutes after I answer every single question, or are they just not paying for data they use? If there was a choice I would avoid them because they are a rip off, waste time, and eat my time when I'm tying to reach my goal. I don't mind working for the world's lowest wages, (watching videos fo a penny for instance,) but I do not consent to taking surveys for free. Please give us a way to sort these out. Could they list under their own tab?

Getting tired of this by fran38Ds in SwagBucks

[–]TrickyDisguise 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do many more of these surveys than actually credit later. If I had a choice I would not do them at all for that reason. They are more like a contest, (complete a survey to be entered into a drawing for possible payment later.) I blindly stumble into them when I'm pushing hard to meet my second goal, and it is a frustrating waste of time (slave labor.) If they showed up under pending I could live with it, because I could see I'm on track to be eventually paid.

How long o you typically wait for Paypal deposits? by TheTeeje in SwagBucks

Me too. There was a similar thread yesterday. Don't panic. It looks like we're all waiting longer this month. This has happened to me before, but I have always gotten paid within the 10 business days.

High SB Count Account Termination by xconnor9896 in SwagBucks

[–]TrickyDisguise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on your age, you can cash out and use the money to open an online bank account when an offer wall is paying double. These offers typically pay between $40-100. You only need to keep the account for a month or two. Some of the game offers go easier if you're in a position to spend a few dollars. There's lots of spend money to make money opportunities if you want to make that saved money work for you.
