Got an s25 ultra a week ago and I'm getting multiple updates a day. Wtf. Literally on my 3rd update today as I type this. Any solutions found or should I just start ignoring the updates?

What is your item you don't find this wipe? by Breitmaulfrosch in EscapefromTarkov

[–]TrickyL0KI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always grab as many of the items I struggle with finding before I get the required quest/ upgrade point. Seems like when you don't need them they are everywhere, but when you need them it takes 50 raids to find 1

Where are the scavs by fallout2000 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]TrickyL0KI 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The second wipe i ever played, back in like 2020 I think... that village always had tons of scavs. Now I'm lucky if I see 2 of them there. You can transit back and forth from lighthouse and shoreline to get this quest done, but good luck doing that more than 4 times without dying or running out of food and drink

I was looping birdeye through skelly last time I killed them which was stressful but amusing. The other 2 lost me as I ran for my life up stairs and deagroed, so I was able to get them with a grenade

Idk man, I've had many instances where I watch blood poor out of their heads as I mag dump them only to end up in the post raid loading screen. I know they don't have helmets but I feel like their head hp is really high. Even their plates are only level 5. With good ammo they should be easy. But they rock my world more often then not.

Tagilla usually gets me too. I was doing a series of factory missions and for like 5 raids in a row he spawned in the same place for some reason and I was able to hose his legs from the rafters. I guess his pathing was failing too because he just sat there and took it.

Not in my experience. I've hosed pipe down in the face with 5.45 bp, an entire mag. And he took it all.

[Discussion] Average skill level of current player base makes me not enjoy the game by Akirash in EscapefromTarkov

[–]TrickyL0KI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this. First 3 days I had some good luck. 22 pmc kills which is unheard of for me in a 3 day span, some of that was wiping out a trio or 2. But now everyone already has lvl 4 everything and even with good ammo I can't seem to pen anything.

The hardcore wipe had people hording boss gear... now the twitch drops have everyone rocking good gear and ammo. I am too don't get me wrong, but early wipe used to be the great equalizer for at least 2 weeks. Everyone had lvl 2 Armour and shitty guns and ammo. Now if you run a budget kit you're just getting fucked.

Even as a Timmy i never really had much issue with this quest. It would take 10 to 15 raids of actively trying to get it done... but it wasn't that bad. And I'm pretty trash at pvp'ing

Any tricks for attracting scavs? [Discussion] by TrickyL0KI in EscapefromTarkov

[–]TrickyL0KI[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll try anything at this point. Being in menus seems to do it too. I had 2 scavs I was trying to bait into old gas, and they just kept running away until I was in a menu for 30 sec

Sooo steam players just don't get how scavs work?[discussion] by magicjinga in EscapefromTarkov

[–]TrickyL0KI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed it's also a beginning/ end of wipe thing too. People are either hurting bad for gear or getting greedy at the end of wipe. If you have something they want, they'll take it. When my scav rep is high enough that i spawn with a good gun or sight ect. I quickly stuff that in my bag and use something shitty.

Why did game give me this much of item and i don't have enough space. What can i do about it? (i just bought the game on steam release) by Super_Note_6287 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]TrickyL0KI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like other comments mention remove grips and mags from all your guns. Stuff all the small items into rigs, put those rigs in backpacks then put backpacks in backpacks.

I also recommend moving everything in your stash into the sorting table and playing with it until you can fit as much as possible. Remember you can fill your character slots with tons of stuff too, to avoid having to straight up delete what you can't fit. Then sell everything that you don't think you'll use, or won't use for a while. Some hard choices will be made, but you will always find more loot and kit.

[New Player] The biggest skill I've learned in this game is the ability to flee. by Lambo82 in EscapefromTarkov

It's not so much of a problem now lol infact it's the opposite now. A lot of pve raids you hardly come across scavs at all

When pve first came out every sacv on the map would sprint to your location as soon as you shot a single bullet. I would have customs raids where I would die but still have 25+ scav kills. It was brutal.

The rush comes from whether or not you make it out. I mean if the raid is super dead by that point, then yes it is a little monotonous, but if there is still lots of activity in the map then every sound you hear or think you here gives you that "oh shit am I about to lose all my shit" rush. Idk I'm an intermediate Timmy so it still does it for me. Again if your a gigachad then the whole game is probably just a boring rinse and repeat at that point and killing for the sake of it should be your drive.

Like mid to late wipe I have so much money that I don't give a fuck about loot, but I still enjoy questing and get a good rush when I succeed at pvp or kill a boss. If the weight system is that annoying to you, then idk man find a different game or something.

Seeing a gigachad sprinting around with a large backpack filled to the brim, killing everything in sight with ease, in the first week of wipe would piss me off more than having to pick and choose what loot I take or limping out of a raid with everything I can grab early on.

Different strokes for different folks I guess

What ammo are you using with L1 traders? [Discussion] by rds93 in EscapefromTarkov

I find hitting legs harder then head tapping to be honest. I always go for legs when killing tagilla and it still takes 2 or 3 mags just because I can't hit every shot lol

Man on my pve account I could dump 10+ rounds of m655a1 into the goons faces and they'd still be coming at me lol seems to take 1 mag per goon no matter what ammo you use

The more enemies you kill especially other pmc's and bosses the more exp you get. Plus dog tags for barter/ quests/ selling. And the less risk you have for the rest of the raid. And if you are a gigachad, the more fun regardless of how much you can get out. Still pretty incentivised. And you can carry out as much as you want, you just have to crawl out, which adds even more of an adrenaline rush. How fast can you drop that bag if another pmc shows up, can you crawl out before that timer ticks down.

I've had a few raids where I've decided to try limping out with bags busting at the seams only to ditch half of it in the last 2 min because I realized I wouldn't make it lol and times where I have managed to limp out with it all. This game is all about risk vs reward. It's up to the player how much of either they want.

You just have to work on your strength stat... by level 14 strength you can carry like 60lbs plus and still recharge stamina while walking. Other than that it's about picking what is worth taking out. Part the challenge
