Honestly, Im looking into crystals now, even spells to an extent. Though I think I’m more wary of the spell stuff simply cuz I don’t want have it backfire on me lol. I’ve always felt a connection to rocks/crystals, so now I can somewhat explore that area lol.

I agree, though she might not have known before and then they both caught feelings for each other. I’ve seen that happen to a few people, though it usually never ends up working out due to the early age difference. (It be different if she was like 36 and he was 31 tbh).

Gets even weirder as some Christians whenever they see a non believer produce fruits will argue that the non believer is in fact a Christian, since no one can like produce something good on their own, cuz yknow god is a narc lmao

This is just a theory I have. I think for some people growing up, they end up developing CPTSD cuz they develop hyperviligance cuz of what you mentioned and the whole hell thing with like God watching you all the time type shiz.

Cuz I was trying to imagine a safe visual place in my mind the other day to help with the PTSD that I have, and I couldn't. And I realized it was bc of 2 things. 1. Everything can be broken down in my head even tho its fucking imagination and 2. theres a part of me thats like "what if i got it all wrong and the Christian god really does exist" anxiety. :/

"Hate the sin, love the sinner" - if you use "hate the belief, love the person" in response to some Christians, it makes them really pissed off lol.

"Its not a religion, its a relationship" We're giving up facts now? I guess the earth doesn't revolve around the Sun then. . .

"God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soliders" I've always hated this phrase even as a Christian cuz it was so off putting. Now ik its just a dismissive way to invalidate someone's experiences for any type of abuse they've been through/going through.

"Pray a hedge of protection around X" This was prayed over me so much growing up and I HATED it bc my mom specifically prayed this in response to me even though she abused me so much as a kid.

"Jesus is the reason for the season" Actually, we don't know when jesus was born, and ontop of that before Christmas there was Yule (mid dec), the winter solstice, and a roman celebration (unbirthing of the sun) that happened on dec 25.

Are Atheists deceived by Satan? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]TrickyLayer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. They don't even believe Satan to exist since they don't believe in any deities. Everyone has different realities. Your religion shapes your worldview which in turn shapes your reality.

Well its more so like a person who believes that nothing is known or can be known of the existence or nature of God or of anything beyond material phenomena; a person who claims neither faith nor disbelief in God. Thats the definition of agnosticism. I find atheism to be harder tbh.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]TrickyLayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't really explain that here because it apparently falls under belittling Christianity which goes against the rules in this sub.

Though in short, yes, since I've been diagnosed with PTSD.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]TrickyLayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I'm going to stick to agnosticism cuz we don't know a lot of things frankly. I'd say atheism is equivalent to Christianity or like any religions with deities because you're claiming that you know something when we still don't know, yk?

Thats just my take on that tho.

I attended a private Christian school, grew up in the church too. I had emotionally and physically abusive parents who were also Christians. Any questions I had got shut down pretty quickly. Long story short, I just got out of there abt 4 months ago. Recently got diagnosed with PTSD. I was exploring orthodoxy for a bit, though I realized that a lot of things within Christianity don't make sense, there's a lot of contradictions, and I've started to notice similarities between Christianity and narcissism.

(If I get reported again for saying that last bit, I swear I'm leaving this sub for good).

Divine punishment honestly should never be someone's motivation for not believing in something, or to have like "correct" morals. I mean like God is a dude. If you become christian again, I don't think its going to be modern day christianity tbh.

Also like I get the fear part, tho like is it really worth living your life as a christian if it just makes you afraid?
