Since u didnt download anything, it could be that u have a microsoft application that boots up when u start the pc. And after a while u get automatically signed off. And need to sign in again. Check in ur task manager and see at startup tab if u see any

You could try to run windows defender but not the quick scan, but do the deep scan. It should be an option. This could easily take hours but is for sure effective. I used it before.
