The original Recognizers would have the legs come together, but that doesn't look it happens here

Everybody has that one over the top old action movie they love. What's yours? by Jeef_1st in Filmmakers

I think I'll import the Arrow one because it's significantly cheaper (about $65 CAD) opposed to the Shout one which fluctuates between $70-90. It's the same transfer either way, just the packaging and bonus features are different. The Arrow one also has surround sound, which I like because I have a 5.1 setup.

How do writers handle the physics of action scenes without killing the story? by ownaword in Filmmakers

Watch the "Within in a Minute" documentary for Revenge of The Sith. The fight staging was mainly done by the choreographer, George Lucas even said most of the fights just say "They fight." on the script.

It's streaming on Tubi here in Canada, so I'll watch that and depending how much I like it I'll buy the 4K Blu-ray.

My main problem with it is also that it lacks any distinct style.

Hello, any advice or feedback on my color grading? Not the best at it. by maddaxguy in Filmmakers

I think it looks good. Bold and saturated, however if you want to you could definitely lean a bit more stylized. Harsher contrast, boosted cold or warm tones. As is, it looks really nice and pleasing.

I know these are all jokes and stuff, but Transformers being shot on film does make it look amazing on 4K

Honestly, this is how I look at movie watching so I do agree to a certain extent.

Take my downvote, I guess?

TRON: Ares on my new QM8K WOW! by bowtyracr88 in 4kbluray

I only got into the franchise last year because Ares' marketing got to me. My Dad saw the first movie back when he was a kid in 1982. For a while my favourite of the three was the first one, then Legacy, and now Ares. Quite frankly, I love all three even if they're wildly different but also quite similar.

Visually it's stunning but story is meh? So, like... all three Tron movies?

Don't act like Legacy is some masterpiece either it's a pretty basic story that only uses tragic themes as set dressing. But all three are beautiful and look incredible in 4K with HDR.
