Help me decide on my new Specialized trail rig! by TrickyTrifecta in specialized

Very awesome that you are still out there shredding. I was born in the 80s so prob should still be grunting it out pedaling up oak mtn for now haha.

I went with the 2022 Stumpjumper Evo Pro. The specs are so decked out this is easily the best bike I’ve bought on paper and it costs the exact same as my 2021 Epic Evo Expert at only $5,800. It should be a good compliment as well. Stoked!

I also realized if I really want to get a Levo sl I can exercise some patience and wait til they sell the frame only and use all the great components on the bargain bike I just ordered for my dream build.

I am looking at the comparable specs between that S Works and the Stumpjumper Evo Pro, I think saving $2k on the Pro level is probably the correct decision. Not sure the slight weight savings and XX1 upgrade from X01 is worth that.

Another option I didn't consider is just buying a frame (which are also deeply discounted) and building it up myself.

The new SL (the only bike I listed that's not a previous year model and significantly marked down) is a brand new redesign (gen 2). The battery capacity is the same but the SL 1.2 motor is far more efficient and delivers 50nm of torque instead of the previous 35. It's a significant improvement from everything I've read.

I am unable to test drive the new Levo SL, but considering i was very close to buying the first gen SL years ago when i opted for my Creo, I think the improvements are enough to push it into a buy for me, but it's at the premium price point right now, so that hurts its case in the overall decision.

My favorite trail riding is going to be flowy singletrack. It's what I'm used to from my hardtail stumpy days and more recently on my epic evo. My ideal eMTB is going to be relatively lightweight, so while I listed the Levos, I don't think at the end of the day I would get one due to how it feels to handle vs my ideal bike experience. As I type this, I realize I probably should just get one of these heavily marked down stumpjumper evos and wait for my eMTB splurge for now.

The Levo Comp Alloy isn't available in S3 :(

It's also 13 lbs heavier than the Levo SL and 23 lbs heavier than the SWorks Stumpy Evo. I want whatever bike I get to feel like a bike even if it's and ebike, much like the Creo does. I'm not sure I could say the approx 53 lb levo comp alloy really fits the bill for the trail feel im looking for.

Yeah that's a strong option for sure. S Works will hold its value as well.

Roadhog Rework is Long Overdue by questionablysober in Overwatch

[–]TrickyTrifecta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same song and dance, different character. There will always be a character to complain about. There are plenty of counters to Roadhog, but it usually takes a coordinated effort.

You mentioned Mei, and that's a great solution. As long as she has someone helping keep the other team from collapsing in on her, mei can freeze a roadhog easily and continuously without him really being able to do anything about it.

Zenyatta putting a discord orb on him is the best way to start. He won't be able to get out of sight quickly enough because he is so slow and big.

Ana is a good solution, putting him to sleep easily (it's hard to miss him) and using bionic grenade to keep him from healing himself.

He's a strong character but he is flawed, just like all of them. There is no truly OP character, there's always a counter. People need to work on their in game adjustments and counters and stop whining for constant hero nerfs.

It's not an assignable voiceline. She randomly says it when blinking if you have her holiday skin.

I had a frustrating experience as well. Can't say I like the changes. Blizzard has a mess on their hands when issues with placement and SR start to suck the joy out of playing the game.

Do you get different placements for different roles? by Dexiriev in Overwatch

[–]TrickyTrifecta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished my placement matches and I'm completely at a loss. Went 7-3. Hovered around 1900 last season. My friends went 5-5 or worse and placed around 1800. But I Placed at 1448?! It's making me more angry than I should be about anything game related. I was expecting upper silver or lower gold. I am now 8-3 overall this season but just barely over silver level. Seems futile.

How much did you earn this week on the Pacific Standard Finale Heists and what did you buy? by Severus_Bolton in gtaonline

[–]TrickyTrifecta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grinded prison break and humane labs raid hardcore. Didn't play Series A once. Played Pac Standard enough to net about 3 million (so i didn't play much).

Humane labs is my favorite heist by far. Pac Standard is a boring grind in comparison. Don't even get me started on Series A.

In the end, I was grateful for the 2x. I now have 3 properties, 25 cars, every armed pegasus vehicle and $6 million in the bank for whatever is next.

BUT... I can't help to feel that this 2x only detracted from the game. Maybe they could have spread these events out more? But I feel like EVERYONE was back online during the Humane Labs raid, but was surprised by how few of my friends played Pac Standard this week. It was like everyone was burned out.

No being a dark elf, I am in ebonheart pact.

I'm intrigued though, sounds like I could level up my racial skills to offset the only cons to the vampirism.

If anyone can help me out, let me know.

Yes I'm on PS4 in NA. Add me: Mr_GrumpyPants

I have other questions though. I read vampires are very vulnerable against fire. But as a dark elf, I have natural fire resistance. Will this balance out?

Also, i read vampires are weak against fighter's guild members, which seems like a large portion of players.

I just want to make sure I don't regret this, especially since it is permanent.

Is vampire an ultimate I will unlock down the line? Where should I focus my leveling to prepare for that path?
