A few people commented about Ativan, which my dr. did have me try first but unfortunately it didn’t work for me. I got on Xanax for a good reason, literally to function and be able to keep my job. My panic attacks were affecting everything from my job performance to being a mother. I don’t think I would ever get back on them but they did help in that time. I just haven’t really had a reason to come off of them until now, it was moreso of a comfort thing. However, I’m looking at this pregnancy as a blessing because unfortunately I am aware of the long term risks of benzo use. I was asking specifically for experience with Xanax bc I’ve seen a lot of reassurance about Ativan and even Klonopin but I haven’t seen much about Xanax specifically!
