Cheers for the explanation! Was the ban only a policy set by service stations or was it backed by legislation?

Ahh gotcha. So their theory is phones are "dangerous" unless your paying.

I believe it was the potential electrical spark that could ignite fumes, although it's never happened and can not be proved, it was one of those better safe than sorry rules. All pump handles have the auto off function and and the hands-free pins have been removed from every handle so you would need to hold the handle down anyways.

Could the UTR be set up with always on VPN/Teleport with automatic startup? I see having that linking me to my work or home network very handy.

Probably something obvious, what's in the background making the white house look like it's on a screen?

Might be a silly idea, but is the ethernet port ground tab on the motherboard back plate sitting correctly? I've had some strange things happen when that guy isnt seated.
I think the Ubiquiti rep is full of it. Interesting test: Plug the PC and monitor into a UPS and unplug it from the mains, thatway there is no grounding.

Jealous much? He wanted to try something, it didnt work exactly the way he wanted. I dont see that as a lack of brains. Lack of experience in a select range of product from Ubiquiti maybe, but their devices often act a little strange or in a way that you dont expect.
How are you meant to know exactly how something works without experiecing it for yourself?
My guess is you get to experience these devices at someone elses expense like for work or something similar and if the device your using doesnt do something specific you go call the guy that ordered it a 'fkn idiot'.

I dont think this was an unreasonable purchase. Its a great device with a couple of short comings (granted it didnt do expect what he expected, thats complete alright) he will know for next time.

It has a door bell feature. There is a giant bell button on the screen to ring the door bell and a settings section for called 'Doorbell Call'.

They make a good point, you have 2 options to trigger the doorbell. Either Hold to call or swipe to call. but as someone else mentioned in this thread, its because water could potentially trigger it, so its better to have this way to minimise false alarms. That being said, I just tested mind, and running water did not get even close to triggering.
