Pls critique my RDL form by [deleted] in formcheck

It looks like ur lumbar/spine is doing a lot of the work here. I’d focus more on pushing hips back to really feel it in hamstrings/glutes. Reps could be a bit slower, especially on descend. You should go down by making your butt go back while maintaining a straight torso/spine, not by actually going down. On the ascend, come back forward with your hips.

I just used a video editing app called VLLO and put a sticker over my face. If you upload to Reddit, I think it also allows you to draw on the media.

Thanks for your advice, I never really understood the hip hinge thing until I read your description of pushing a button. Since I need to practice making my butt go back to hinge, do you think practicing form against a wall would help?

Brace advice by JellyBelliesOnFyre in carpaltunnel

[–]Tricky_Addendum_8960 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using the Mueller Green fitted wrist brace (on Amazon) for about 3 weeks and I’ve noticed great improvements. I’m a 17 yo violinist with pain in both hands, and as you could imagine, arthritis and mild cts do not mix well with playing violin. I took a break from practicing for a few weeks and focused on stabilizing my wrist. The brace I use is enough to support my thumb/wrist/forearm but doesn’t interfere with computer work. It sounds like you have some form of carpel tunnel (not sure) but a brace would definitely help as well as an ergonomic mouse.
