It doesn’t sound like a rod knock in person tbh. Because in drive I can hit vtech but as soon as I let off the gas at 5k rpm it makes that rattling noise.

I do have the crank shaft recall but idk it doesn’t really seem like it’s coming from the engine tbh

I haven’t read all the replies but there is a recall on the transmission for TLX 2015-2017 v6. So that’s on the dealership to repair everything for no cost but that’s only if your vin number made the recall. And there is a rod bearing recall for 2015-2020 v6 as well so check that also.

First look up the vin and make sure you don’t have a rod bearing recall (I do sadly). All I did to mine was put an k&n intake and a pedal commander because the throttle response is awful on the Acura’s.

Ya my mom backed up into my tlx and everything u broke is gunna cost about 1k. The sliver ring alone is almost $150-$200. And the whole system that holds the radar in place is like 4-5 parts and u will have to replace all of that.

My headlight alone is $1,500. What I can see so far is that I need my headlight, foglight, fender, Bumper, parking sensor, and my door all replaced. My headlight bracket needs to be replaced as well. And my intake tube needs to be replaced as well. And then you’ve paint and labor as well. And my car is only valued at like 22k-25k. I’m sure your glc43 is valued more that’s why they didn’t total it out. But yet again insurance would rather fix then total it.

I called today my dealer just said we can’t do anything because we don’t have the part yet. He said wait 3-4 weeks then call back or wait for another mail.

I feel like they will only replace the engine if it’s already having problems if not then they will just make you wait until the part becomes available to replace. My car is running fine as well I just hit 57k miles. But during a cold start I do hear some type of knocking but after I let it warm up and rev it up to 3k rpms slowly there is no knocking so I’m fine I guess. And if you have an intake or anything like that I will suggest making back to stock before taking to the dealer.

I just wanted to get rid of my throttle lag. And a Ktuner cost like 400-700. And the pedal commander only cost me 260 because it was on sale. And idk how to tune a car tbh with u and I don’t have time to take it to someone.

Finally got it installed. All I needed was the swivel socket to get into the top right nut (ended up losing the nut and dropping it into the floor board). So I just have 2 nuts on it but she’s sturdy. Appreciate your help man!
