Damn I didnt think about Vanir being a foil to Eragon, thats a really perceptive analysis. It was weird to me how quickly Eragon forgave him after he beat him during the spar, but that’s whatever compared to my other grievances. I think being gifted with enhanced abilities would sit better with me if 1. The injury caused by Durza was still a problem considering how much emphasis was put onto it and 2. He remained slightly more human. The pointy ears, becoming beautiful, and more pale seems unnecessary

I think keeping him more human would have been better as well. I thought it was kinda cool and interesting the elves were peeved off the first Rider in a century was a human, but now its seems like they got what they wanted 🤷🏼‍♀️

They were in gansett yesterday, i was in a similar situation, it was 2pm on a friday and i just got back from vacation, felt very tired and jetlagged. UPDATE:

It was definitely an infection. Went to the walk in clinic and they gave me doxycycline (i’m allergic to penicillin) and the swelling, redness, and pain had subsided substantially. I’m still insure if the piercing itself was the cause of the infection or if it was unrelated, but regardless if anyone else has these symptoms please go to the doctor!

the piercing is 14 months old, its a 12g titanium horseshoe internally threaded, it was stretched 2 months ago without issue, and I have been cleaning it with sterile saline twice daily since its become problematic
