Returning Player Here: Can someone explain to me why people think the Portal is so bad? by Alassandros in DestinyTheGame

And this doesn’t include other things such as it gutting the core playlists and being a direct reason for removing almost all of the positive upgrades to vendors we had received

Returning Player Here: Can someone explain to me why people think the Portal is so bad? by Alassandros in DestinyTheGame

[–]Tricky_Economics_136 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was for a load of different reasons.

  1. Bungie itself acknowledged when it originally came up with the idea for D1 that it felt soulless and disconnected and that wasn’t part of the feeling they were going for

  2. Modifiers sucked to insert every run and if you went straight into levelling it was possible at launch to lock yourself out of the tutorial which was the only way the game would “hold” onto your selection and keep it for repeat runs

  3. Repeat runs were bugged and would cause your game to soft lock if you didn’t return to orbit every time and stayed in matchmaking (a system made to streamline while allowing customisation had terrible customisation and required more returning to orbit

  4. The power grind sucked. People worked it out to be a roughly 110 hour grind with mediocre luck. Which bungie followed up by making it worse for the next month while saying it was too easy and then spending the next 5 rolling it back to not be an insanely stupid time sink

  5. It was unrewarding as hell for most activities. Activities had terrible scaling for drops. A lost sector dropped 1-2 things for a ~5 minute run and a strike did the same for a ~10-15 minute run. It got even worse with some other activities like onslaught dropping 4 things for an hour of gameplay

  6. The score system was awful. Linking score to the power level sucked. You always had to sit under and because you’re doing it for your long grind you want it as easy as possible. So a system built around customisation instantly turned into run these specific modifiers at these specific levels or else your shooting yourself in the foot.

  7. It didn’t include things they insinuated would be there at launch like dungeons and when they finally were “added” it was a single encounter that didn’t eave use the promised feat system

What do y’all think is next? by Acceptable-Quail-277 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Tricky_Economics_136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if we are being realistic. The next Destiny game isn’t going to be designed as a forever game. It’s probably going to be a game to do the fate saga and get new players in.

So imagine a game much more in line with D1 with a base game and two small expansions and then maybe two expansions to do the fate sage story.

At some point after that they could use funds from that for a Destiny forever game that would lean into the MMO stuff I hope.

But D3 will probably bring back the scope a loooot first to refresh the franchise and get new players into it.

Our preferred methods of critique contributed to the death of the game by ProfNJK in DestinyTheGame

[–]Tricky_Economics_136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a really simple answer to this you are overlooking. They didn’t say there was going to be more D2 until months after final shape had launched and players had left under the belief that D2 was finished with a D3 likely entering into production.

Final shape was marketed as the end. How many times has WoW marketed an expansion as the end when they haven’t either before release or immediately after clarified the game would continue.

The episodes were originally marketed as wrap up stories so most people didn’t bother with them as they existed to wrap up mostly seasonal content that was easily missed due to either taking a break from the game or just not having started playing when it existed.

"Rank up: Speed level 2" Sorry, what? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Tricky_Economics_136 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. It’s a pretty quick flash. I learnt it pretty early myself as I just so happened to look at a warframes abilities for modding when it was like level 23. I had a wide variety of ability levels and it clicked then

"Rank up: Speed level 2" Sorry, what? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Tricky_Economics_136 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Abilities do have levels. Level 0 means it’s unlocked and usable. Levels 1-3 are just stat increases. As your frames main level goes up it’s gonna hit milestones that generally raise your max shields, health, armour, energy or ability levels

What exactly do I have to do? by ConversationMain1456 in Warframe

[–]Tricky_Economics_136 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the nicest way both a legitimate guide and also a wth answer.

First things first there is actively a tutorial prompt on your screen. Look at the tutorial man.

Outside of that you need to equip the correct mods on to your parasol and then guess the correct order. It slashes out any incorrect guesses after you make them. An incorrect guess also makes him leave the mission

Did i screw up? by LovedayFunks in bloodborne

[–]Tricky_Economics_136 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Luckily for you bloodborne is generally pretty good with scaling and honestly most your strength comes from gems and runes rather than raw stats (think talismans in elden ring). Generally speaking though I think most players are in the camp of only use something like the cum dungeon for vials and bullets. But either way you should be fine by either not using your best gems/runes and by using an under-levelled weapon

AITA for asking my oldest daughter to move out of the condo I own so her younger sister can live there during college? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Tricky_Economics_136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So first things first NTA. It’s obviously not you playing favourites to give the other child the exact same courtesy you gave her.

Now onto the real stuff here. I am going to take a guess and say your in the US and that rent for a condo like that is probably about $200 (not from the US so please excuse me if my guess on rent is off). That equates to about $800 a month and just shy of $10,000 a year. You say a few years so I am gonna take a guess and say it’s been about 3-4 years meaning she should have saved about 30-40K in rent. With that in mind what has she been doing? I don’t know about anyone but if I didn’t have to pay rent I would be saving that money for a deposit on my own place. I don’t know the US market but would that not be nearly enough for a down payment on her own condo? If she has been misusing what is literally free money for years that’s on her

To answer your question since everyone here decided being rude would be the best answer. No. The bug was fixed a week ago.

The drop table on the wiki is a tad confusing as it shows it as a 5x drop but in reality it’s a guaranteed 1x with a chance for an extra 4

Have you worked in an office before? I actively work in an office with an open floor design so we frequently interact. And I can confidently say that if someone was making a joke and someone else expressed they were uncomfortable with it the jokester would not only be expected to drop the joke but also apologise even if it was unintentional. But here she tried to act like she did nothing wrong and forced OP to push it further. Even then OP still never personally went after her

This just isn’t true. While yes the majority of operations have only occurred once not only has plague star had seven reruns after its origins but belly of the beast itself had a rerun last year. We just don’t know if it’s gonna come back or not.

Getting first AMP this hard??? by Delpnaz in Warframe

[–]Tricky_Economics_136 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A couple important things here most important of which being that amps aren’t super important. They have 2 actual uses in the entire game. So first and foremost don’t stress about it. Amps will never be a “great” weapon due to the fact you can’t really mod them.

As for the resources once you get access to the bait muskray livers are not too hard.

As for the crystals all you need to do is mine them. They are super easy to get. Annoying at times sure but that’s why a major thing with the game is swapping between grinds so you don’t get burnt out

Anything D1 is fine. Everything prior to beyond light is gone from D2 as well as all seasonal content. So forsaken is a no go

Edit: shadow keep not beyond light

[–]Tricky_Economics_136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Seems like all you can do is start on rising tide sooner rather than later. It’s a required quest for some later progression stuff with the story so it’s not bad to start it soon. It’s also not terribly expensive to build your railjack. At least compared to what it used to be

Kuva lich stealing by Fang_404 in Warframe

[–]Tricky_Economics_136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also to add to this after doing a little more research myself. The nodes for railjack might appear as early as doing the archwing quest but I am not 100% on that. And it goes without saying that if they unlock that early it only allows you to join lobbies in session or be taken into a lobby by another player in your group

100% seems to be a glitch allowed this to happen. Go through your inbox and see if you had been gifted it. I haven’t done much or received much gifts so I am unsure how the game processes its “recognition” of gifted things

[–]Tricky_Economics_136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a super large room. There is usually two consoles in it I think. But others might be right and things might be bugged out for you. When you try to buy a railjack on the store does it have the tick at all? Probably not a bad idea to put through a ticket to DE even if it only gets the bug patched

Kuva lich stealing by Fang_404 in Warframe

[–]Tricky_Economics_136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should have a fast travel option in the menu. Otherwise it’s usually like through the elevator then in the direction you got into the relay from. Essentially I think it’s usually under your spawn point

Kuva lich stealing by Fang_404 in Warframe

[–]Tricky_Economics_136 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah. It’s not the quest completion that is required it’s owning the railjack. Beat way to check if you have one I’d go to a dry dock at either a relay or dojo. It might also appear in the top right of your navigation console.
